Lagu Kenangan
''Lagu Kenangan'' ('Song of Memories') is a 1953 Indonesian film directed by and produced by Djamaluddin Malik for the Persari Film Corporation. Starring Titien Sumarni and A. N. Alcaff, it follows the domestic troubles of a composer and his wife. Plot The composer Supardi lives with his wife, Surjati, and their two children Janti and Janto. The couple often fight, owing to Supardi's late hours, as he does his best work at night when the children are sleeping. Things escalate to the point that Surjati takes Janti and leaves. This separation nearly ends in divorce, but eventually with the support of their parents, Surjati and Supardi are able to reconcile. Djamaluddin Malik
Djamaluddin Malik (13 February, 1917 – 8 June, 1970) was a prominent Indonesian film producer, politician, entrepreneur. He founded the Jakarta Indonesian company Persari Film. Personal life Malik was born in Padang, Indonesia, Padang, West Sumatra. His father was a Pagaruyung descendant, in the Minangkabau people, Minangkabau hinterland. He died in Munich, Germany in 1970. Titien Sumarni
Raden Ajeng Titien Sumarni (28 December 1935 – 13 May 1966) was an Indonesian actress active in the 1950s. Born in Surabaya, she moved to Tasikmalaya as a child and developed an interest in stage acting, trained by her uncle and future husband Mustari, later acting for republican troops during the Indonesian National Revolution. Sumarni began acting in film in 1951, making her debut with ''Seruni Laju''. Over her five-year career Sumarni acted in thirty films, established her own film production company, and became one of the most popular Indonesian actresses of her time. Following her final film, ''Djandjiku'' (1956), Sumarni fell out of the spotlight, eventually dying at very young age. Biography Sumarni was born on 28 December 1935 in Surabaya, Dutch East Indies. ''De Locomotief'' was the first newspaper published in Semarang, in the era of Dutch East Indies. It was established in 1845 and led by Pieter Brooshooft, an ethical political activist. The daily was originally named ''Semarangsch Nieuws en Advertentieblad''. In 1863 it was renamed ''De Locomotief'', after the passage of the first train in Semarang. The paper was closed during the second world war but in 1947 the daily ''De Locomotief'' was re-opened again. The Dutch language newspaper was cited outside of Indonesia in the 1950s as a source of information about Indonesian War of Independence issues.
