Mien Sondakh
Mien Sondakh (11 December 1917 – 1998) was an Indonesian actress and singer. She was active in the 1940s and 1950s. She was best known for her role as aunt Sudimo in ''Putri Solo'' (1953) and as a cruel women in ''Kasih Sajang'' (1954). Sondakh was the singer of "Gembala Sapi" which became popular in the early 1950s and was covered by other singers such as Laila Sari and Norma Sanger. She was part of Classical Indonesian Cinema. Early life Sondakh was born on 11 December 1917 in Manado, Dutch East Indies. Personal life Sondakh married Daniel Robot and had two children: Paulina and Jan Robot. Paulina became an actress and starred with her in ''Putri Solo'' (1953) along with Titien Sumarni. ''Lagu Kenangan'' ('Song of Memories') is a 1953 Indonesian film directed by and produced by Djamaluddin Malik for the Persari Film Corporation. Starring Titien Sumarni and A. N. Alcaff, it follows the domestic troubles of a composer and his wife. Plot The composer Supardi lives with his wife, Surjati, and their two children Janti and Janto. The couple often fight, owing to Supardi's late hours, as he does his best work at night when the children are sleeping. Things escalate to the point that Surjati takes Janti and leaves. This separation nearly ends in divorce, but eventually with the support of their parents, Surjati and Supardi are able to reconcile. Kebayoran Baru is a district ( id, kecamatan) of South Jakarta, Indonesia. The name of the district was derived from an area which was developed in the post-war period as a new suburb town of Jakarta, Kebayoran Baru. Kebayoran Baru was the last residential area to be developed by the Dutch colonial administration. The urban planning was laid in a concept of the Garden city movement, consisting of a well-planned residential area, a shopping center, and a business district, supported with civic facilities e.g. schools, places of worship, hospitals, and parks.
