Los Hermanos (song)
"Los Hermanos" ( en, The Brothers) is a poetic folk song composed and first performed by Argentine ''nueva canción'' singer Atahualpa Yupanqui. Song information "Los Hermanos" is often considered a protest song. Some claim it criticizes the dictatorship of the Latin American countries, done to secure the fidelity of the region to the United States and, - by doing that -, avoiding undesirable leftist governments. Dimitra Galani
Dimitra Galani ( el, Δήμητρα Γαλανή) is a Greek singer and songwriter. Galani was born 1952 in Athens and began her musical career at the age of 16 providing vocals on several tracks of Dimos Moutsis and Nikos Gatsos on the album "A Smile": ( el, Ένα Χαμόγελο). She subsequently contributed to Manos Hatzidakis' 1971 album "Land of Gold" r: 'Της Γης Το Χρυσάφι' providing vocals on six of the twelve tracks included on the album. Alfredo Zitarrosa
Alfredo Zitarrosa (March 10, 1936 – January 17, 1989) was a Uruguayan singer-songwriter, poet and journalist. He specialized in Uruguayan and Argentinean folk genres such as zamba and milonga, and he became a chief figure in the ''nueva canción'' movement in his country. A staunch supporter of Communist ideals, he lived in exile between 1976 and 1984. He is widely regarded as one of the most influential singer-songwriters of Latin America. ''Falso Brilhante'' ( en, Fake diamond) is a 1976 studio album released by the critically acclaimed Brazilian MPB singer Elis Regina. On the year of 1975 Elis Regina opened her solo concert entitled ''Falso Brilhante'', where she launched the career of a new composer, Antonio Carlos Belchior, (with his songs "Como Nossos Pais" and "Velha Roupa Colorida"). One year after that concert, she recorded part of the repertoire of the show and released on an LP. This LP was later reissued as a CD in 1999. Elis Regina Carvalho Costa (March 17, 1945 – January 19, 2002), known professionally as Elis Regina (), was a Brazilian singer of MPB and jazz music. She is also the mother of the singers Maria Rita and Pedro Mariano.
