Longfields Station (OC Transpo)
Longfields is an Ottawa Transitway station in the Longfields neighbourhood of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada (Barrhaven). The station is located on a route that runs along the south side of the CNR railway line southwest from Fallowfield Station towards Strandherd Station. Located close to the station are École élémentaire catholique Pierre-Elliott-Trudeau, Mother Teresa High School and Longfields-Davidson Heights Secondary School. Ottawa Transitway
The Transitway is a bus rapid transit (BRT) network operated by OC Transpo in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It comprises a series of bus-only roadways and reserved lanes on city streets and highways. The dedicated busways ensure that buses and emergency vehicles on the Transitway rarely intersect directly with the regular traffic, and make it possible for them to continue at full speed even during rush hour. OC Transpo operates a network of rapid routes which use the Transitway to connect communities with the O-Train light rail system. Additional bus routes also use segments of the Transitway. The Transitway opened in 1983 with five stations. The network expanded greatly to include over fifty stations at its peak. Longfields
Longfields is a neighbourhood in Barrhaven Ward in Ottawa, Ontario. This recent neighbourhood is located within the growing suburb of Barrhaven in the city's southwest and is bordered by Greenbank Road to the west, Strandherd Drive to the south, Woodroffe Avenue to the east, the CNR railway on the northwest and Fallowfield Road to the north. Longfields was mostly built in the early 1990s during a period of major expansion. Barrhaven's most recent high school, Longfields-Davidson Heights Secondary School, is located in this neighbourhood. Fallowfield station (french: gare de Fallowfield) or Fallowfield Train Station is an inter-city passenger railway station and bus rapid transit station located at 3347 Fallowfield Road in the suburban neighbourhood of Barrhaven in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Location Fallowfield station is located on the north side of Fallowfield Road (Regional Road 12) just west of its intersection with Woodroffe Avenue. Strandherd Station
Strandherd Station is a transit station in Ottawa, Ontario. It opened on January 2, 2007 and contains a park and ride facility with over 300 parking spaces available. It is located northeast of the intersection of Strandherd Drive and the access to the Riocan Marketplace shopping area, where Barrhaven Centre Station and Marketplace Station opened in mid-2012. This is part of OC Transpo's plans to extend its southwest transitway to its suburb areas. Route 95 was extended to Strandherd Station when the facility opened. The park and ride lot provides additional spaces for south end residents in Barrhaven, Heart's Desire, Davidson Heights and Manotick. Special routes 406 and 456 also serve the station.
