Challenge Tour
The Challenge Tour is the second-tier men's professional golf tour in Europe. It is operated by the PGA European Tour and, as with on the main European Tour and the European Senior Tour, some of the events are played outside Europe. History The tour was introduced in 1986 and was initially called the ''Satellite Tour''. The Order of Merit was introduced in 1989, with the top five players on it winning membership of the European Tour for the following season. The following year the tour was renamed the Challenge Tour. Up to 1993 the Challenge Tour rankings were based on each player's best several results, but since 1994 it has been a straightforward money list, with all results counting. Players who are successful on the Challenge Tour qualify for membership of the European Tour the following year. Twenty players earn direct promotion to the European Tour. Stroke Play
Stroke play, also known as medal play, is a scoring system in the sport of golf in which the total number of strokes is counted over one or more rounds of 18 holes. In stroke play, the winner is the player who has taken the fewest strokes over the course of the round, or rounds. Although most professional tournaments are played using the stroke play scoring system, some notable exceptions exist. In match play, the player, or team, earns a point for each hole in which they have bested their opponents. Per Nyman
Per Nyman (born 14 February 1968) is a Swedish professional golfer. Nyman was born in Kristianstad and attended Fresno State University in California, United States, where he twice won the GCAA All-America Scholar Award. He turned professional after graduating in 1992. He played on the European Tour and its official development tour, the Challenge Tour, between 1993 and 2004. He won four times on the Challenge Tour, including twice in 1995, and finished 2nd on the Challenge Tour Rankings in 1998. He was also medalist at the European Tour Qualifying School Final Stage in 2002. He should not be confused with fellow professional golfer and two-time Challenge Tour winner Per G. Nyman. Golf is a club-and-ball sport in which players use various clubs to hit balls into a series of holes on a course in as few strokes as possible. 1995 Challenge Tour
The 1995 Challenge Tour was the seventh season of the Challenge Tour, the official development tour to the European Tour. The tour started as the Satellite Tour with its first Order of Merit rankings in 1989 and was officially renamed as the Challenge Tour at the start of the 1990 season. Manuel Moreno (Buenos Aires, 1782 – íb., 1857) was an Argentine politician, brother of Mariano Moreno. He was one of the founders of the Federal Party in the province of Buenos Aires. Biography Manuel Moreno was born in Buenos Aires in 1781, and studied at "Real Colegio de San Carlos". He started to work in the colonial government by 1800, and joined his brother Mariano Moreno in his mission to London. However, Mariano died on board the ship, which inspired Manuel to write a biography of his life. He wrote them quickly, in order to be able to publish them in London, and used it as a force to promote the Revolution in Europe. He returned in 1813, and was appointed as state secretary by the Second Triumvirate. In 1817, he was jailed and banished to the United States, where he graduated in medicine at the Maryland university.
