This is a list of characters featured in the ''Baahubali franchise'' which consists of two films, a novel, a comic and an upcoming television series. They are all characters which have '' The Beginning'' (2015), '' The Conclusion'' (2017), '' The Lost Legends'' (2017) and the novel ''The Rise of Sivagami'' (2017). Film series characters The following are characters are introduced in the films Baahubali: The Beginning (2015) and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (2017). Protagonists Amarendra Baahubali Amarendra Baahubali, Maharaja Vikramdeva's son, was born in Mahishmati (Telugu) / Magizhmathi (Tamil). His mother (then Queen dowager) died while giving birth to him. He was named "Baahubali" by his aunt, ''Rajamatha'' Sivagami, who later became his foster mother. Baahubali (franchise)
''Baahubali'' (styled in official material as ''Bāhubali''; ) is an Indian media franchise created by V. Vijayendra Prasad and S. S. Rajamouli. The franchise started off with a two-part film series directed by Rajamouli. The films were produced in Telugu cinema, Tollywood, the centre of Telugu language, Telugu language films in India and were filmed in both Telugu and Tamil Language, Tamil languages simultaneously. The films were followed by an animated series, a graphic novel, and a trilogy of novels in English. The films in the franchise were jointly produced on a budget of 430 crore ($65 million). The first part, subtitled ''Baahubali: The Beginning, The Beginning'' was released on 10 July 2015. ''Baahubali: The Lost Legends'' is an Indian streaming television animated series that is a part of the ''Baahubali'' franchise, produced by Arka Media Works and Graphic India. The series revolves around the young princes Amarendra Baahubali and Bhallaladeva in the Mahishmati kingdom. The series is set before the incidents happened in '' Baahubali: The Beginning'' and '' Baahubali 2: The Conclusion''. The first season aired on Amazon Prime Video from 19 April to 11 August 2017. The Rise Of Sivagami
''The Rise of Sivagami'' is an Indian historical fiction novel written by Anand Neelakantan. It acts as a prequel to the film '' Baahubali: The Beginning''. It was originally released in English on 7 March 2017, with Telugu, Malayalam, Hindi and Tamil versions released in April 2017. The story revolves around Sivagami, a character of Baahubali. The novel is intended to extrapolate the ''Baahubali'' films. It also tells the readers more about Kattappa, another important character of the story.
