Crewe
Crewe () is a railway town and civil parish in the unitary authority of Cheshire East in Cheshire, England. The Crewe built-up area had a total population of 75,556 in 2011, which also covers parts of the adjacent civil parishes of Willaston, Shavington cum Gresty and Wistaston. Crewe is perhaps best known as a large railway junction and home to Crewe Works; for many years, it was a major railway engineering facility for manufacturing and overhauling locomotives, but now much reduced in size. From 1946 until 2002, it was also the home of Rolls-Royce motor car production. The Pyms Lane factory on the west of the town now exclusively produces Bentley motor cars. Burwardsley is a village and civil parish the unitary authority of Cheshire West and Chester and the ceremonial county of Cheshire, England. Eddisbury Way
The Eddisbury Way is a footpath running from Frodsham to Higher Burwardsley within the English county of Cheshire. The total length of the trail is .The Eddisbury Way - The Mid-Cheshire Footpath Society The path is waymarked with yellow arrows containing the words Eddisbury Way. The route The route starts at the Runcorn side of Frodsham at the bridge that crosses the River Weaver. It then proceeds to Bradley, Fivecrosses and Newton before skirting around the edge of Delamere Forest at Manley. The path then follows Dark Ark Lane to Brines Brow picnic area before progressing through Kelsall, Duddon, Burton, Hoofield and Huxley to its conclusion at Higher Burwardsley. The route is shown on Ordnance Survey Explorer maps 257 and 267. The path crosses the Baker Way at Brines Brow picnic area, the Delamere Way near the former Crossley hospital at Manley and the Sandstone Trail in Higher Burwardsley, which incidentally is the end-point of the Eddisbury Way. Stockton Heath
Stockton Heath is a civil parish and suburb of Warrington, in the Borough of Warrington, Cheshire, England. It is located to the north of the Bridgewater Canal and to the south of the Manchester Ship Canal, which divides Stockton Heath from Latchford and north Warrington. It has a total resident population of 6,396. Victoria Square is at the centre of Stockton Heath and is on the crossroads of the A49 and A56. Until the 1970s, the Victoria Hotel stood on this square but its location has been redeveloped. Frodsham
Frodsham is a market town, civil parish, and electoral ward in the unitary authority of Cheshire West and Chester and the ceremonial county of Cheshire, England. Its population was 8,982 in 2001, increasing to 9,077 at the 2011 Census. It is south of Liverpool and southwest of Manchester. The River Weaver runs to its northeast and on the west it overlooks the estuary of the River Mersey. The A56 road and the Chester–Manchester railway line pass through the town, and the M56 motorway passes to the northwest. In medieval times, Frodsham was an important borough and port belonging to the Earls of Chester. Delamere Way
The Delamere Way is a footpath running from Stockton Heath to Frodsham within the English county of Cheshire. The path crosses the M56 motorway and Whitley Brook as it navigates farmland towards the locks on the River Weaver at Dutton. The route then closely follows the railway to Acton Bridge and continues to Onston, Ruloe and Norley before entering Delamere Forest. River Dane
The River Dane is a tributary of the River Weaver that originates in the Peak District area of England. The name of the river (earlier ''Daven'') is probably from the Old Welsh ''dafn'', meaning a "drop or trickle", implying a slow-moving river. Course It forms the border between first Cheshire and Derbyshire on the west and east, and then between Cheshire and Staffordshire where it then flows north-west through Cheshire before meeting the Weaver in Northwich. The river rises close to the source of the River Goyt just to the south west of Buxton, at Dane Head on Axe Edge Moor. Flowing southwest, it forms county borders for around before flowing west through Congleton and past Holmes Chapel.
