List Of Polish Football Champions
The Polish football champions are the annual winners of Poland's premier annual football competition. The title has been contested since 1920 in varying forms of competition. From 1921 to 1926 the championship was decided in a series of tournaments until the league was formed in 1927. Since then the title was awarded the winners of the highest league in Polish football. In 1951 the title was awarded to the winner of the Polish Cup. 2014–15 Ekstraklasa
The 2014–15 Ekstraklasa (currently named T-Mobile Ekstraklasa due to sponsorship reasons), is the 81st season of the highest level of football leagues in the Polish football league system since its establishment in 1927. It began on 18 July 2014. A total of 16 teams are participating, 14 of which competed in the league during the 2013–14 season, while the remaining two were promoted from the I Liga. Each team played a total of 30 matches, half at home and half away. Legia Warsaw were the defending champions, having won their 10th title last season, but Lech Poznań won their 7th title. Teams Promotion and relegation as usual was determined by the position in the table from prior season. The bottom two teams were directly relegated to the I Liga, while the top two teams are promoted to the Ekstraklasa. The 1927 Liga was the 7th edition of the Polish Football Championship (6th completed season ended with the selection of a winner) and the 1st season of the Liga (now Ekstraklasa), the top Polish professional league for association football clubs. The league was operated by the ''Polska Liga Piłki Nożnej'' (PLPN). The champions were Wisła Kraków, who won their 1st Polish title. Competition modus The season started on 3 April 1927 and concluded on 13 November 1927 (spring-autumn league). The season was played as a round-robin tournament. The team at the top of the standings won the league title. A total of 14 teams participated. Each team played a total of 26 matches, half at home and half away, two games against each other team. 1925 Polish Football Championship was the 5th edition of the Polish Football Championship (Non-League) and 4th completed season ended with the selection of a winner. The championship was decided in final tournament played among nine teams ( winners of the regional A-Class championship) participated in the league which was divided into 3 groups: an Eastern, a Northern and a Southern one. The winners of each groups, Pogoń Lwów, Warta Poznań and Wisła Kraków, played a Final Group tournament. The champions were Pogoń Lwów, who won their 3rd Polish title. The championships were held after a one-year break, as the 1924 Polish Championships were abandoned due to the preparations of the Poland national team to participate in the 1924 Olympic Football Tournament. The 1924 Summer Olympics (french: Jeux olympiques d'été de 1924), officially the Games of the VIII Olympiad (french: Jeux de la VIIIe olympiade) and also known as Paris 1924, were an international multi-sport event held in Paris, France. The opening ceremony was held on 5 July, but some competitions had already started on 4 May. 1923 Polish Football Championship was the 4th edition of the Polish Football Championship (Non-League) and 3rd completed season ended with the selection of a winner. The championship was decided in final tournament played among eight teams ( winners of the regional A-Class championship) participated in the league which was divided into 2 groups: an Eastern and a Western one. The winners of both groups, Pogoń Lwów and Wisła Kraków, played a 2 leg final match for the title (and one additional match on neutral ground in Warsaw). The champions were Pogoń Lwów, who won their 2nd Polish title. Warta Poznań () is a multi-sports club based in Poznań, Poland. The name means ''the Guard'' in Polish and also the name of the river Warta on which Poznań is located. Founded in 1912, the association football club are two-time winners of the Polish Football Championship, in 1929 and 1947.
