Laxmikant Parsekar (born Laxmikant Yashwant Parsekar; 4 July 1956) is an Indian politician who held the office of the Chief Minister of Goa, a state in India from 2014 to 2017. He was the member of the Goa Legislative Assembly from Mandrem constituency, and he belonged to the Bharatiya Janata Party. He is currently an Independent politician. He was appointed the Chief Minister of Goa on 8 November 2014, replacing Manohar Parrikar. During the Goa Assembly Election in 2017, he lost from his seat of Mandrem. He resigned on 11 March 2017. Francisco Casimiro Jerónimo Agnelo Pinto de Souza known as Francis Dsouza (4 October 1954 – 14 February 2019) was an Indian Politician from Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) who served as the Deputy Chief Minister of the Indian State of Goa. He contested from Mapusa (Vidhan Sabha constituency) as an independent unsuccessfully in 1989.
