Francisco Sardinha
Francisco Cosme Sardinha (born 15 April 1946) is an Indian politician, who is serving as the Member of Parliament (MP), representing South Goa Lok Sabha constituency. Prior to that, he served as the Chief Minister of Goa from 24 November 1999 to 23 October 2000 and as the Speaker of the Goa Legislative Assembly from February 2005 to June 2007. He is a senior leader of the Indian National Congress party having won 6 times as MLA from Curtorim assembly and 4 times as Lok Sabha MP from South Goa constituency. Personal life Mr Francisco Sardinha was born on 15 April 1946 in Curtorim, South Goa district to Mr Caetano Sardinha and Mrs Rosa Maria Sardinha. He is married to Mrs Maria Columba Sardinha since 23 May 1976 and has 3 sons. Political career Sardinha was a member of the Goa Legislative Assembly from 1977–1994. Curtorim
Curtorim is a town in the Salcette taluka of South Goa district in Goa, India.It comes under Margao metropolitan region. Curtorim, a verdant agrarian village, known as the "granary of Salcete", is said to have got its name from either ' or ' since the agricultural village had ' (rooms) built on the river bank (') to store kharif and rabi crops. Geography Curtorim is located at . It has an average elevation of . History A copper-plate inscription was issued by King Viramarmadeva of the Kadamba dynasty in 1049 CE concerning a grant of a piece of land called "Tudukapura" in "Kudtarika agrahara" of "Chhat sathi desha". This inscription suggests that "Kudatari" or modern Curtorim was known as "Kudatarika" then. "Chhat sathi" refers to modern Salcete, known as in the local Konkani language. It had an 'Agrahara', which means an education centre or a university in the modern sense, and was started most probably by the said monarch Viramarmadeva or by Sasthadeva II or Guhalladev ...

Eduardo Faleiro
Eduardo Faleiro (born 30 August 1940) is an Indian politician, and former federal minister from Goa. In September 2006, he was the commissioner for non-resident Indian affairs for the Congress Government of Goa. Biography Faleiro was born on 30 August 1940. He was a Union Cabinet minister at the Indian federal government in New Delhi from 1986 to 1996. Earlier, he was a member of the legislative assembly of Goa for a short while, before shifting to national-level politics. Goa People's Congress (GPC) is a splinter group of the Indian National Congress in Goa. GPC broke away from INC in 2000 under the leadership of Francisco Sardinha. GPC formed a coalition government in the state together with Bharatiya Janata Party with Sardinha as Chief Minister. That government lasted nine months. 12th Lok Sabha
This is the list of members of the 12th Lok Sabha, (10 March 1998 – 26 April 1999) after the 1998 Indian general election held during February–March 1998. This was the second consecutive Lok Sabha, like the 11th Lok Sabha elections that did not provide the country with a stable government. Atal Bihari Vajpayee became the 16th Prime Minister of India but the government lasted for only about thirteen months due to no clear mandate. Also, the party was not able to get support from other parties, after the withdrawal of support by AIADMK. After his resignation, then President K. R.
