Line 8 (Tianjin Metro)
Line 8 of the Tianjin Metro () is a rapid transit line running from northwest to southeast Tianjin. The Phase I south section of line 8, which was originally called Line 6 Phase 2 during construction, was opened on 28 December 2021. The line is currently 13.42 km long and has 9 stations. This is the first metro line in Tianjin that uses Type A six car, GoA4 automated trains. The Tianjin Metro or Tianjin Rail Transit is the rapid transit system in the city of Tianjin, which was the second city in mainland China after Beijing to operate a subway system (the Beijing Subway opened in 1971). Line 6 (Tianjin Metro)
Line 6 of the Tianjin Metro () is a rapid transit line running semi-circular from north-east to south-east Tianjin. It was opened on 6 August 2016. The line was later extended on 31 December 2016 and on 26 April 2018. The line is currently 42.6 km long and has 38 stations. The line currently uses 6 car B size trains but the platform is long enough to support 8 car trains as demand grows in the future. Line 6, together with Line 5 will form a loop around Tianjin. Nankai District
Nankai District () is a district of Tianjin, People's Republic of China. Nankai District borders the Hai River in the east and Chentangzhuang Railway in the west and south. Heping District () is a district in the center of Tianjin, China. It is named after the He Ping Road, the most prosperous street of the district at the time of renaming in 1956. Hexi District ( is a district in the south-western corner of urban Tianjin, People's Republic of China. It is bordered by Heping District in the north-west, Hedong District to the north-east and Nankai District to the west. As of 2020, the district has a total population of 822,174. History During the Northern Song dynasty, this area was on the border with Jin, and belonged to the Hechi county. In 1110 it was transferred into Jinghai county, before got merged into Qianning county 3 years later.
