Liam Johnston (golfer)
Liam Johnston (born 26 January 1993) is a Scottish professional golfer. He won the Kazakhstan Open and Match Play 9 on the Challenge Tour in 2018. Amateur career Johnston had a successful junior career and finished second on the Scottish Boys Order of Merit in 2010 and 2011. He was runner-up at the 2011 Scottish Boys Match Play and the 2011 Scottish Boys Stroke Play. He attended the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga between 2011 and 2015 and graduated with a degree in psychology. He was All-Southern Conference performer with the Chattanooga Mocs men's golf team in 2014 and 2015. Johnston represented Scotland in the Men's Home Internationals in 2016 and 2017, both times losing to Ireland, and at the 2017 European Amateur Team Championship, where he lost to Sweden in the quarter final together with Craig Howie, Ryan Lumsden, Robert MacIntyre, Jamie Stewart and Connor Syme. Open De France
The Open de France is a European Tour golf tournament. Inaugurated in 1906 it is the oldest national open in Continental Europe and has been part of the European Tour's schedule since the tour's inception in 1972. The 100th edition of the event was held in 2016. The 2022 edition will take place between 22 and 25 September on the Golf National course. There will be €3 million of prize fund. Last edition played was the 2019 tournament, won by Nicolas Colsaerts. Originally played at La Boulie, the tournament has been hosted by many different venues, but since 1991, it has been held at the Le Golf National near Paris every year except for 1999 and 2001. Since the turn of the millennium, the Fédération Française de Golf has made a concerted effort to enhance the stature of the event. The Challenge Tour is Europe's official developmental tour and is organised by the PGA European Tour. Tom Murray (born 16 January 1990) is an English professional golfer. He won the 2015 Volopa Irish Challenge on the Challenge Tour. Early life Murray was born in Manchester, England, the son of professional golfer Andrew Murray. Professional career Murray turned professional in 2009. He played on the Challenge Tour in 2013 and 2014. After finishing T-10 at the 2014 European Tour Qualifying School, Murray played on the European Tour in 2015. While also playing on the 2015 Challenge Tour, Murray picked up his first professional win at the Volopa Irish Challenge, beating Nino Bertasio at the second hole of a sudden-death playoff. He failed to maintain his card after the 2015 European Tour season and has played mostly on the Challenge Tour since 2016. Grant Forrest
Grant Forrest (born 19 June 1993) is a Scottish professional golfer. He plays on the European Tour, and won the 2021 Hero Open. Forrest had a successful amateur career which included being runner-up in the Amateur Championship and playing in the 2015 Walker Cup. Amateur career Forrest had an exceptionally successful amateur career. He won the Scottish Amateur in 2012 and the St Andrews Links Trophy in 2014. He reached the final of the 2015 Amateur Championship where he lost 4&2 to Romain Langasque and played in the Walker Cup later the same year. Gleneagles Hotel is a hotel near Auchterarder, Scotland. It was commissioned by the Caledonian Railway and opened in 1924.
