Meghan MacLaren (born 15 May 1994) is an English professional golfer and Ladies European Tour player. Early life and amateur career MacLaren starting playing golf at age 4 and attended The Ferrers Specialists Arts College between 2005 and 12, where she earned the Young Sportswoman of the Year award in 2009 and Upper School Sportsperson of the Year in 2010. She enrolled at Florida International University in 2012 and played with the FIU Panthers women's golf team. She won eight times before graduating with a degree in English in 2016. She was Sun Belt Conference Freshman of the Year in 2013 and Conference USA Golfer of the Year in 2015. MacLaren had a successful amateur career and won the 2013 Irish Women’s Open Amateur Stroke Play Championship and the 2014 Ladies' British Open Amateur Stroke Play Championship, while representing country or continent in the 2016 Curtis Cup, 2016 Espirito Santo Trophy and Patsy Hankins Trophy. Wellingborough ( ) is a large market and commuter town in the unitary authority area of North Northamptonshire in the ceremonial county of Northamptonshire, England, 65 miles from London and from Northampton on the north side of the River Nene. 2016 Curtis Cup
The 39th Curtis Cup Match was played from 10 to 12 June 2016 at Dun Laoghaire Golf Club near Enniskerry, Ireland. Great Britain and Ireland won 11 to 8. Bronte Law became the first golfer from Great Britain and Ireland to win 5 matches in a Curtis Cup match, a feat only previously achieved by Stacy Lewis in 2008. Format The contest was a three-day competition, with three foursomes and three fourball matches on each of the first two days, and eight singles matches on the final day, a total of 20 points. Each of the 20 matches is worth one point in the larger team competition. If a match is all square after the 18th hole extra holes are not played. The Open de France Dames is a women's professional golf tournament in France on the Ladies European Tour. It has been played annually since 1987, with four exceptions: 1990, 1991, 1992, and 1998. Since the 2011 edition, Lacoste has been the title sponsor of the event. Jordan Mixed Open
The Jordan Mixed Open presented by Ayla is a professional golf tournament. The event included players from the Challenge Tour, the European Senior Tour and the Ladies European Tour. The event was first held in April 2019 at Ayla Golf Club, Aqaba, Jordan. In 2019 there were 40 players from each of the Challenge Tour, the European Senior Tour and the Ladies European Tour together with three high-level amateur golfers. The tournament was over 54 holes with a cut after 36 holes after which the top 60 players and ties played the final round. Daan Huizing
Daan Huizing (born 22 October 1990) is a Dutch professional golfer. Huizing entered the European Tour qualifying school at the end of 2012. Because of his high ranking as an amateur, he was exempt from the first stage of qualifying. He made it through to the third stage where he finished 80th, earning a place in some Challenge Tour events for 2013. Huizing won twice in 2013, at the Northern Ireland Open Challenge and two weeks later at the Kharkov Superior Cup. He was also joint runner-up in the Kärnten Golf Open and finished the year in sixth place in the Challenge Tour standings, and graduated to the European Tour for 2014. Huizing had a disappointing 2014 with best finishes of tied for 12th place. Since 2015 Huizing has mostly played on the Challenge Tour. Challenge Tour
The Challenge Tour is the second-tier men's professional golf tour in Europe. It is operated by the PGA European Tour and, as with on the main European Tour and the European Senior Tour, some of the events are played outside Europe. The Order of Merit was introduced in 1989, with the top five players on it winning membership of the European Tour for the following season.
