Tom Murray (golfer)
Tom Murray (born 16 January 1990) is an English professional golfer. He won the 2015 Volopa Irish Challenge on the Challenge Tour. Early life Murray was born in Manchester, England, the son of professional golfer Andrew Murray. Professional career Murray turned professional in 2009. He played on the Challenge Tour in 2013 and 2014. After finishing T-10 at the 2014 European Tour Qualifying School, Murray played on the European Tour in 2015. While also playing on the 2015 Challenge Tour, Murray picked up his first professional win at the Volopa Irish Challenge, beating Nino Bertasio at the second hole of a sudden-death playoff. He failed to maintain his card after the 2015 European Tour season and has played mostly on the Challenge Tour since 2016. Nino Bertasio
Nino Bertasio (born 30 July 1988) is an Italian professional golfer who plays on the European Tour and is currently attached to the Gardagolf Country Club. Professional career After turning professional in 2011, he joined the Alps Tour. His first win on that tour came in 2014 at the Open St. Francois Region Guadeloupe, followed a week later by another win at the Asiago Open; he went on to win the Order of Merit and qualify for the Challenge Tour. In 2015 he comfortably retained his card on the Challenge tour, with his best performance at the Volopa Irish Challenge where he lost in a playoff to Tom Murray. The Kazakhstan Open was a men's professional golf tournament on the Challenge Tour, the official developmental tour of the European Tour. First played in 2005, it was held at the Nurtau Golf Club in Almaty, Kazakhstan for the first four editions before moving to the Zhailjau Golf Resort, also in Almaty. Between 2010 and 2018 it had alternated between Nurtau and Zhailjau. History Since 2014 the Kazakhstan Open had a prize fund of €450,000, making it one of the richest events on the tour at the time. The 2015 Challenge Tour was a series of professional golf tournaments collectively known as the Challenge Tour. The Challenge Tour is Europe's official developmental tour and is organised by the PGA European Tour. It was introduced in 1986 and was originally called the Satellite Tour, before being renamed with its present title in 1990. Schedule The following table lists official events during the 2015 season. Lymm is a village and civil parish in the Borough of Warrington, Cheshire, England, which incorporates the hamlets of Booths Hill, Broomedge, Church Green, Deansgreen, Heatley, Heatley Heath, Little Heatley, Oughtrington, Reddish, Rushgreen and Statham. At the 2011 Census it had a population of 12,350. Andrew Murray (golfer)
Andrew Stephen Murray (born 30 June 1956) is an English professional golfer. Murray was born in Manchester. He turned professional in 1972 and played on the European Tour from 1979 to 1995. He retired from tournament golf after suffering from spondylitis for many years. He recorded his only win on the European Tour at the 1989 Panasonic European Open and finished the 1989 season at a career-best 28th on the Order of Merit. In 1994 he was joint runner-up in the Turespana Open De Canaria. Murray worked as a commentator and analyst for the BBC. After turning 50, he combined that work with a return to tournament golf on the European Senior Tour.
