Klára Svatoňová
Klára Svatoňová (born 24 January 1993) is a Czech curler from Prague. She currently plays lead on the Czech national women's curling team, skipped by Anna Kubešková. Career In her first World Junior Curling Championships in 2012, Svatoňová was part of the first ever Czech Republic curling team to win a World Championship medal. Her team won the silver medal, Svatoňová playing second for Zuzana Hájková. The team had a strong performance, finishing the round robin with a 6–3 record, in a five-way tie for second. The team avoided a tie breaker however, and after losing their first playoff game to first place Scotland, they rallied to win the semi-final against Sweden's Sara McManus before losing once again to Scotland's Hannah Fleming in the final. The team returned to the 2013 World Junior Curling Championships, with fourth-thrower Iveta Janatova now skipping the team. Curling At The 2014 Winter Olympics – Qualification Event
The qualification event for the curling tournament at the 2014 Winter Olympics was held from December 10 to 15, 2013 at the BLZ Arena in Füssen, Germany. The top two teams from the qualification event qualified their nations to participate in the Olympics. The qualification event was open to any nations that earned qualification points at the 2012 or 2013 World Curling Championships or participated at the 2011 World Curling Championships (the South Korea men's team and the Norway women's team). Competition format In both the men's and the women's tournaments, the teams played a single round robin, and at its conclusion, the top three teams advanced to the playoffs. The 2013 European Curling Championships were held from November 22 to 30 at the Sørmarka Arena in Stavanger, Norway. Norway last hosted the European Curling Championships in 1990. is a Japanese curler from Sapporo, Hokkaido. She is the skip of the FORTIUS curling team, which won the Japan Curling Championships in both 2015 and 2021. At the international level, she has represented Japan twice at the World Women's Curling Championship (, ) and two Pacific-Asia Curling Championships in and , winning the gold medal in 2021.
