Kim Chae-yeon (Hangul: 김채연; born 8 December 2006) is a South Korean figure skater. She is the 2022 CS Finlandia Trophy silver medalist and received a small bronze medal for the short program at the 2023 Four Continents. Kim is also the 2022–23 Junior Grand Prix Final bronze medalist and a three-time ISU Junior Grand Prix medalist. Personal life Kim was born on 8 December 2006 in Seoul, South Korea. Career Early years Kim began skating in 2017. She placed fourth in the junior category at the 2020 South Korean Championships. In February 2021, Kim placed ninth, competing as a senior at the 2021 South Korean Championships. 2020 South Korean Figure Skating Championships
The 2020 South Korean Figure Skating Championships were held from January 3–5, 2020 at the Uijeongbu Indoor Ice Rink in Uijeongbu. It was the 74th edition of the event. Medals were awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, and ice dance on the senior and junior levels. The results were part of the Korean selection criteria for the 2020 World Junior Championships and the 2020 World Championships. Seoul was originally announced as the host, before the location was changed to Uijeongbu in November 2019. Kim Ye-lim
Kim Ye-lim (Hangul: 김예림; born January 23, 2003) is a South Korean figure skater. She is a two-time Four Continents medalist, the 2022 NHK Trophy champion, 2022 Grand Prix de France silver medalist and the 2021 South Korean national champion. She also won two events at the Challenger Series and represented her country at the 2022 Winter Olympics. Earlier in her career, she won two silver medals in the ISU Junior Grand Prix series (2018 JGP Lithuania, 2018 JGP Czech Republic). Personal life Kim was born on January 23, 2003. is a Japanese figure skater. She is the 2022 JGP Poland I silver medalist, 2022 Egna Trophy bronze medalist, a two-time Japanese Junior medalist and two-time Challenge Cup junior champion. is a Japanese figure skater. She is the 2022 Junior Grand Prix Final champion, a two-time ISU Junior Grand Prix gold medalist, the 2022 Japanese national bronze medalist, and a two-time Japanese junior national champion (2021–2022). The ISU Junior Grand Prix in Poland is an international figure skating competition. Sanctioned by the International Skating Union, it is held in the autumn in some years as part of the JGP series. Medals may be awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. When held in Gdańsk, the qualifying event is usually known as the Baltic Cup. 2022–23 ISU Junior Grand Prix
The 2022–23 ISU Junior Grand Prix was the 25th season of a series of junior international competitions organized by the International Skating Union. It is the junior-level complement to the 2022–23 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating. Skaters compete for medals in the disciplines of men's singles, women's singles, pairs, and ice dance, as well as for qualifying points. The top six from each discipline will qualify for the 2022–23 Junior Grand Prix Final, to be held together with the senior final. Competitions The locations of the JGP events change yearly. In the 2022–23 season, the series is composed of the following events in autumn 2022: Entries Skaters who reach the age of 13 before July 1, 2022, but have not turned 19 (singles and females of the other two disciplines) or 21 (male pair skaters and ice dancers) are eligible to compete on the junior circuit. She is a two-time ISU Challenger Series silver medalist, the 2024 Canadian national champion, and the 2023 Canadian national silver medalist.
