Kaspar Bausewein
Kaspar Bausewein (15 November 1838, Aub – 18 November 1903, Munich) was a German operatic bass who was active at the Bavarian State Opera from 1858 through 1900. While there, he notably portrayed several characters in the world premieres of operas composed by Richard Wagner. Opera is a form of theatre in which music is a fundamental component and dramatic roles are taken by singers. Bavarian State Opera
The Bayerische Staatsoper is a German opera company based in Munich. Its main venue is the Nationaltheater München, and its orchestra the Bayerische Staatsorchester. Wilhelm Richard Wagner ( ; ; 22 May 181313 February 1883) was a German composer, theatre director, polemicist, and conductor who is chiefly known for his operas (or, as some of his mature works were later known, "music dramas").
