Karlos Nasar (Bulgarian: Карлос Насар; born 12 May 2004) is a Bulgarian male weightlifter. He won the gold medal in the men's 81 kg event at the 2021 World Weightlifting Championships held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Career World Championships He competed at the 2021 World Weightlifting Championships in the 81 kg category. At the competition he set the world record in the clean and jerk 208 kg for the 81 kg weight class. He also set the junior and youth world records in the clean and jerk 208 kg and total 374 kg for the 81 kg weight class. He won the gold medal in the men's 89kg Clean & Jerk event at the 2022 World Weightlifting Championships held in Bogotá, Colombia. Antonino Pizzolato (born 20 August 1996) is an Italian weightlifter, Olympian, and three-time European Champion competing in the 85 kg category until 2018 and the 81 kg and 89 kg categories starting in 2018 after the International Weightlifting Federation reorganized the weight classes. He competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics, in Men's 81 kg, winning a bronze medal. 2022 World Weightlifting Championships
The 2022 World Weightlifting Championships was a weightlifting competition held in Bogotá, Colombia in December 2022. It was scheduled to be held in Chongqing, China but this changed in March 2022 as a result of COVID-19 measures in China. The new location was announced in April 2022. It was the first time Colombia hosted the World Weightlifting Championships. The event served as a qualification event for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France. Weightlifters from Russia and Belarus did not compete after a ban as a result of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. North Korea also did not compete after the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) tightened its rules on anti-doping controls.
