''Kankarbagh'', or ''Kankarbagh Colony'', is a neighborhood and residential area in Patna, Bihar, India. It is one of the largest colonies of Asia, and in terms of population, it is the second largest. Overview Established back in 1916, Kankarbagh is spread over an area of around 900 acres. Patliputra Sports Complex
The Patliputra Stadium at the Patliputra Sports Complex is a multi-purpose stadium in Kankarbagh, Patna, Bihar. The first Women World Cup Kabaddi Championship was held here in its inaugural year, in which 16 countries had participated. It had also hosted the seven league matches of new Pro Kabaddi League with its home team as Patna Pirates from 7 to 10 August in 2014. Information The sports complex was inaugurated on 1 March 2012 with the inauguration of the first Women's World Cup Kabbaddi Championship in India. It was a grand affair in which 16 teams had participated from across the world. Patna Pirates
Patna Pirates (PTP) is a kabaddi team based in Patna, Bihar that plays in the Pro Kabaddi League. The team is led by Neeraj Kumar and coached by Ravi Shetty. Their home ground is the Patliputra Sports Complex. The Pirates are the most successful team in PKL history with a record of winning 3 out of 8 titles and winning all of them in successive. They are also one time runners up in season 8 of pkl which started after the COVID-19 pandemic. The Pirates won their first title by defeating defending champions U Mumba in 2016 (January), after reaching the semi finals in the previous two seasons (2014 and 2015). The Maurya Empire, or the Mauryan Empire, was a geographically extensive Iron Age historical power in the Indian subcontinent based in Magadha, having been founded by Chandragupta Maurya in 322 BCE, and existing in loose-knit fashion until 185 BCE. Pataliputra (IAST: ), adjacent to modern-day Patna, was a city in ancient India, originally built by Magadha ruler Ajatashatru in 490 BCE as a small fort () near the Ganges river..
