KTP-Basket
Kotkan Työväen Palloilijat Basket, shortly KTP Basket, is the largely independent basketball team of Kotkan Työväen Palloilijat, a Finnish sports club based in Kotka, and has played in the Korisliiga since 1957. The club has won the Finnish championship six times. The Finnish Basketball Cup (Finnish: ''Koripallon Suomen Cup'') is the highest level national domestic basketball cup competition of Finland. 2018–19 Korisliiga Season
The 2018–19 Korisliiga season was the 79th season of the top professional basketball league in Finland. Karhu successfully defended their title to repeat as Finnish national champions. Format The eleven teams played four times against each one of the other teams for a total of 40 games. The eight best qualified teams joined the playoffs and the last one played a best-of-three relegation playoff against the First Division runners-up. Teams Ura promoted from First Division and Kobrat remained in the league as Espoo United was expelled due to financial irregularities. 2013–14 EuroChallenge
The 2013–14 EuroChallenge was the 11th edition of Europe's third-tier level transnational competition for men's professional basketball clubs. The winner and the runner-up of this competition earned a place at the group stage of the 2014–15 Eurocup season. The Final Four was held in PalaDozza in Bologna, Italy. The host of the tournament, Grissin Bon Reggio Emilia won the Final by beating Triumph Lyubertsy 79–65. Italian player Andrea Cinciarini received the Final Four MVP award. Competition format changes This year's EuroChallenge saw a number of innovations, including the division of the participating clubs into two main Conferences for the Regular Season - Conference 1 and Conference 2 - based on a broad geographical criteria. Kenneth Simms (born August 4, 1986) is an American basketball player who played for Danang Dragons of the Vietnam Basketball Association (VBA). Standing at , Simms plays as center. Born in Bronx, New York, Simms has played for several clubs in Europe, South America and Asia since the start of his professional career in 2009. Professional career In 2010, Simms signed with CSM SCU Craiova in Romania, where he played until April. In the summer of 2010, he played for Ningxia Hanas in China. 2015–16 FIBA Europe Cup
The 2015–16 FIBA Europe Cup was the inaugural season of the newly formed basketball competition organised by FIBA. The season started on 21 October 2015 and ended on 1 May 2016. The competition replaced the EuroChallenge and had the aim to take the place of Eurocup (organised by Euroleague Basketball), as the second-tier competition in Europe. Format In the Regular season, 56 teams are divided into 14 groups of four teams. In the Round of 32, the first and second best teams from the Regular season play in groups of four. Starting from the Round of 16, quarter-finals will be played. The tournament will conclude with a Final Four. Teams The deadline to register in the competition was on July 30. Kataja Basket won its second national title after beating Salon Vilpas in the Finals. Teams Bisons Loimaa left the league after the 2015–16 season, because of its financial problems. 2014–15 EuroChallenge
The 2014–15 EuroChallenge was the 12th and last edition of Europe's third-tier level transnational competition for men's professional basketball clubs. The winner and the runner-up of this competition earned a place at the group stage of next year's Eurocup season. The regular season was composed by 32 teams and it started on 4 November 2014. The season ended on 26 April 2015, when JSF Nanterre beat Trabzonspor Medical Park 63–64 in the Final in Trabzon, Turkey. It was the last season of the EuroChallenge, starting from the 2015–16 season, the competition was replaced by the FIBA Europe Cup. LaMonte Ulmer (born September 17, 1986) is an American professional basketball player for Orléans Loiret Basket of the LNB Pro A. Standing at 6 ft 6 in (1.98 m), Ulmer usually plays as small forward.
