The Finnish Basketball Cup (Finnish: ''Koripallon Suomen Cup'') is the highest level national domestic basketball cup competition of Finland. Basketball

Lappeenrannan NMKY
Lappeenrannan NMKY (also known as LrNMKY for short or as Team Lappeenranta in European competitions) is a basketball club based in a city of Lappeenranta, Finland. It was formed in 1951 as a Young Men's Christian Association (NMKY in Finnish) and has won two Finnish Championships (2005, 2006) and two Finnish Cups (2005, 2006). Team Lappeenranta participated in Fiba EuroCup challenge in 2005/2006 finishing in semi-finals. In 2007/2008 season team is willing to make another run in Europe, this time in FIBA EuroCup. After the 2013–14 season, NMKY left the Korisliiga because of financial problems. NMKY Helsinki ( fi, Helsingin NMKY, HNMKY for short) is a YMCA in Helsinki, Finland, best known for its basketball section. Other activities include sports like floorball and martial arts, scouting, choirs, orchestras and various youth clubs. Forssan Koripojat
The Korisliiga is the top-tier professional basketball league in Finland, comprising the top 12 teams of the country. In its current format, each team plays all other teams two times in the regular season, once at home and once away, for a total of 22 regular season games. The top six teams advances continues to upper stage and the bottom six teams plays lower stage after 22 games, 5 games at home and 5 games at away versus all other teams in stage. The best two teams from lower group joins to playoffs with upper group teams. Playoffs are played best of seven format, except the quarter-finals which are played best of 5 format. Pantterit holds the record for the most league titles won, with 14. The top level Finnish league for women is the Naisten Korisliiga. Korihait ( en, Basket Sharks) is a Finnish basketball team from Uusikaupunki. It was formed as Uudenkaupungin Urheilijat, shortly UU, in 1898 and has won one Korisliiga Finnish Championship (1990) and two Finnish Cups (1986, 1988). In 1994 UU had financial problems and entered bankruptcy. Korihait then took UU's place in the league. The club play at Pohitullin Sports Hall, which has also hosted the Finland men's national handball team. Pantterit (English: ''Panthers'') is a basketball club from Helsinki, Finland. The club was formed in 1938 and it has won the men's Finnish championship title for 14 times making it the most successful team in Finnish basketball history. Pantterit also has 5 women's Finnish championship titles. History Men The club was formed in 1938 and were originally named Kiri-Veikot. Pantterit played in the very first season of Finnish championship in basketball in 1939. The club took its first championship title in 1944 and became the club to beat in two following decades. Pantterit became the first Finnish team to participate in international basketball competitions, as they played against polish Legia Warsaw in the 1958 season of Champions Cup. Tapiolan Honka is a basketball club based in Espoo, Finland. Their men's team plays in Korisliiga and their women's team plays in Naisten Korisliiga, both on highest tiers of Finnish basketball. Turun NMKY (YMCA Turku) is a Finnish professional basketball club, based in Turku. The club plays in men's I-B-division. History Turun NMKY was founded in 1920. The team has played in a total of 32 through the top league level championships. NMKY has won the championship in Finland and the Finnish Cup, both four times. In the 1996-2000 period the club was also known as ''Piiloset''. In 2000, the Turun NMKY dropped on SM-series due to non-performing debt. Namika Lahti was a basketball club based in Lahti, Finland. The club played in the Korisliiga, the top Finnish championship league.
