Buckeye, Arizona
Buckeye is a city in Maricopa County, Arizona, United States, and is the westernmost suburb in the Phoenix metropolitan area. As of the 2020 census the population was 91,502, up from 50,876 in 2010 and 6,537 in 2000. It was the fastest-growing city in the United States for both 2017 and 2018. History In 1877, Thomas Newt Clanton led a group of six men, three women, and ten children from Creston, Iowa, to Arizona, where they settled in the Buckeye area. Early settler Malie M. Jackson developed of the Buckeye Canal from 1884 to 1886, which he named after his home state of Ohio's moniker, "The Buckeye State". KAZV-LP was a low-power television station in Modesto, California, broadcasting locally on channel 14 as an affiliate of America One. Founded June 22, 1995, the station was owned by AZV Video Production, Inc. Frank Azevedo “always wanted to own a TV station” and in 1997, the Modesto area almond grower applied to the FCC for a “limited power community broadcast license” and received it. His station, KAZV-TV, Channel 14, Modesto, operated out of a house on his farmstead, providing a steady stream of local-content programming plus classic movies and re-runs of popular shows from the past, such as I love Lucy, Bob Hope and The Andy Griffith show. KSSE is licensed to Arcadia, California and broadcasts to the Los Angeles metropolitan area, KSSD is licensed to Fallbrook, California and serves northern San Diego County and KSSC is licensed to Ventura, California, with its signal covering Ventura County. Radio Romántica
Radio Romántica was a name used by EXCL Communications (later Entravision) for various Spanish-language radio stations from the 1990s through 2005. The earliest known reference to Radio Romántica is from 1997, at the time when EXCL moved KBRG 104.9 to 100.3 San Jose during a frequency swap deal from American Radio Systems. Later EXCL's Radio Romántica Spanish AC format was adapted to KJMN Denver, KRZY-FM Albuquerque, an unknown Salinas station, and another unknown station were using the name. Entravision acquired the Radio Romántica name and stations following its purchase of EXCL Communications in 2000. The name was subsequently used on several of Entravision's other stations, including KLOB Palm Springs, KRRE Sacramento, KCVR Modesto, KVVA/KDVA Phoenix, and KRVA Dallas. Silver Spring, Maryland
Silver Spring is a census-designated place (CDP) in southeastern Montgomery County, Maryland, United States, near Washington, D.C. Although officially unincorporated, in practice it is an edge city, with a population of 81,015 at the 2020 census, making it the fifth-most populous place in Maryland after Baltimore, Columbia, Germantown, and Waldorf.
