Real Radio was a network of five regional radio stations broadcasting to North East England, North West England, Scotland, Wales and Yorkshire. Each station broadcast a mix of local and networked programming. On Tuesday 6 May 2014, the stations were merged with the Heart network. Fox Sports Radio is an American sports radio network. WKMK and WTHJ (106.3 and 106.5 FM, "Thunder 106") are two radio stations simulcasting a country music format. The stations are licensed to Eatontown and Bass River Township, New Jersey, respectively. The station is owned by Press Communications. WKMK's transmitter is located at exit 105 of the Garden State Parkway in Tinton Falls. WTHJ's transmitter is located on the tower of Philadelphia television station WWSI/62 located in Tuckerton in extreme southern Ocean County. The studios are located in Neptune, New Jersey. WSUN (defunct)
WSUN was a radio station which broadcast to Tampa Bay Area, Florida from 1927 until 2001. History WSUN radio station began operating at 620 kHz in October 1927 having previously shared time with WFLA. In 1928 it was moved to 580 kHz, then to 900 kHz that year. In 1929, radio frequencies for stations in Florida were reallocated, the station at this point moved back to 620 kHz, where it remained until 1998. The stations transmitter was originally on the north side of the Courtney Campbell Causeway near Clearwater. Early in its return to 620 kHz it was able to increase its power by being the first AM radio station in the world to add a second tower and use placement and spacing along with divided power from the main tower to directionalize its broadcast coverage area. Modern Rock
Modern rock is an umbrella term used to describe rock music that is found on college rock radio stations. Some radio stations use this term to distinguish themselves from classic rock, which is based in 1960s–1980s rock music. Rhythmic Oldies
Rhythmic oldies is a radio format that concentrates on the rhythmic, R&B, disco, or dance genres of music. Playlists can span from the 1960s through the 2000s and, depending on market conditions, may be designed for African-American or Hispanic audiences. It is also referred to as "Jammin' Oldies" or "Music From Back in the Day" by various radio stations.
