Jáchal River
The Jáchal River is a river in the province of San Juan, Argentina. It is part of the Desaguadero River basin, and one of the most important permanent watercourses in the province, with an average flow of . It is born from the confluence of the Río de la Palca and the Blanco River, in the northwest of San Juan. Course From its origin, the Jáchal flows south for , up to a ravine in the pre-Andean range, in a place called Cuesta del Viento. There, it turns eastward towards the city of San José de Jáchal, flowing for along a steep gorge. Upon reaching Jáchal, the river turns south again for , and then northeast-southeast, passing by the towns of Tucunuco and Mogna. It then flows and empties into the upper Desaguadero River (here known as Bermejo). The Jáchal River is fed primarily by snow thaw, rainfall being only a minor contribution in this semi-arid region. José Luis Gioja
José Luis Gioja (born 1949) is an Argentine Justicialist Party (PJ) politician, former governor of San Juan Province and former President of the Argentine Senate. Early life and education Gioja was born in Rawson, a suburb of San Juan, Argentina, in 1949. He was raised in nearby San José de Jáchal, and earned a teaching diploma at the local normal school. He enrolled at the National University of Cuyo, and in his senior year, was elected President of the National University Student Association (ANEU), graduating with a degree in agronomy in 1973. He married the former Rosa Palacio, with whom he had four children. Governor Eloy Camus named Gioja his private secretary upon taking office in 1973, and the latter also served as San Juan chapter President of ''Juventud Peronista'' (Peronist Youth). San Juan River (Argentina)
The San Juan River is, together with the Jáchal, the most important river of the Argentine province of San Juan. Both join the Desaguadero/Colorado system that ends at the Atlantic Ocean. Course The river starts near the town of Calingasta, in the southwest of the province, from the confluence of three main rivers: the Calingasta River, the Castaño Viejo River, and the Río de los Patos. Gold cyanidation (also known as the cyanide process or the MacArthur-Forrest process) is a hydrometallurgical technique for extracting gold from low-grade ore by converting the gold to a water-soluble coordination complex. Gold extraction refers to the processes required to extract gold from its ores. The great majority of gold is extracted from dilute ores using a combination of chemical processes.
