Julia Henriksson
Julia Henriksson (born 11 July 2000) is a Swedish athlete who competes as a sprinter. She has won Swedish national champion titles at 60m, 100m and 200m and is the Swedish indoors national record holder over 200 metres and joint record holder outdoors over 200 metres. Early life From Bjuv, Henriksson was a promising junior athlete but stopped athletics completely in high school, and didn’t race at all in 2016 and 2017. She started training again after her hiatus and started training full-time in 2019. She again had to pause her training to recover from stress fractures to her foot, in 2020. Career Competing in Mölndal in August 2021, Henriksson ran 100m in 11.37s which moved her up to fifth all-time by Swedish women and made her the fastest Swedish woman since 2014. Henriksson won the Swedish national 100m title in Norrköping in August 2022, with a time of 11.55 seconds. 2023 World Athletics Championships – Women's 200 Metres
The women's 200 metres at the 2023 World Athletics Championships was held at the National Athletics Centre in Budapest from 23 to 25 August 2022. Summary All the expected finalists qualified. The structure of the semis didn't make it easy. The third semi was loaded with the defending champion, Shericka Jackson, the newly crowned 100 metres champion, Sha'Carri Richardson, and perennial finalist, 2017 silver medalist Marie-Josée Ta Lou. With only two automatic qualifying spots, something had to give. Ta Lou had to get one of the time qualifying spots and was relegated to lane 2 in the final. In the final, the staggers mostly held true halfway through the turn, then Jackson began to edge forward with Dina Asher-Smith and Gabrielle Thomas showing a slight advantage. The 2024 BAUHAUS-galan was the 58th edition of the annual outdoor track and field meeting in Stockholm, Sweden. Held on 2 June 2024 at Stockholm Olympic Stadium, it was the seventh leg of the 2024 Diamond League – the highest level international track and field circuit. The 2024 Diamond League is the fifteenth season of the annual series of outdoor track and field meetings, organised by World Athletics. The competition is a revision to the top level athletics series since Diamond League foundation in 2010. The number of Diamond Discipline events is 32. Each meeting will host a number of Diamond Discipline events and some of these events will not be broadcast. Events losing Diamond Discipline status will feature on the World Athletics Continental Tour, the second tier of track and field meetings.
