2024 BAUHAUS-galan
The 2024 BAUHAUS-galan was the 58th edition of the annual outdoor track and field meeting in Stockholm, Sweden. Held on 2 June 2024 at Stockholm Olympic Stadium, it was the seventh leg of the 2024 Diamond League – the highest level international track and field circuit. Highlights Results Athletes competing in the Diamond League disciplines earned extra compensation and points which went towards qualifying for the 2024 Diamond League finals. First place earned 8 points, with each step down in place earning one less point than the previous, until no points are awarded in 9th place or lower. In the case of a tie, each tying athlete earns the full amount of points for the place. Tshepiso Masalela (born 25 May 1999) is a middle-distance runner from Botswana. He is a multiple time national champion in the 800 metres and 1500 metres. Career At the 2022 African Championships he won his heat in the 800 metres in 1:48.69. He followed this up by winning the bronze medal in the final. In 2023, he lowered his 800 meters personal best to 1:45.24. At the 2023 World Athletics Championships in Budapest, he qualified for the finals of the 800m, placing 6th. In February 2024, Masalela set a national indoor record of 1:45.56 for the 800 metres in Metz. He ran at the 2024 World Indoors Athletics Championships in Glasgow where he reached the semi-finals. Adriaan Wildschutt (born 3 May 1998) is a South African long-distance runner, who competes professionally for the Hoka NAZ Elite team. He previously ran collegiately for Coastal Carolina University before transferring to Florida State for his final two years of college. In March 2021, Wildschutt finished second at the 2020 NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships. In February 2022, he ran an indoor 5000 metres in 13:09.30, setting a South African national record. Luis Grijalva
Luis Grijalva (born 10 April 1999) is a Guatemalan long-distance runner. Born in Guatemala, he attended Armijo High School in Fairfield, California, where he was a state champion in cross country and track. He went on to compete for Northern Arizona University, securing multiple All-American finishes in the NCAA. In 2021, Grijalva began competing professionally, sponsored by HOKA ONE ONE. At the 2020 Summer Olympics, he finished twelfth in the 5000m. He also finished fourth in the 5000m at both the 2022 and 2023 World Athletics Championships. Dominic Lokinyomo Lobalu
Dominic Lokinyomo Lobalu (born 16 August 1998) is a South Sudanese middle-distance runner, middle and long-distance runner. He currently lives and trains in Switzerland and competes for On Running. Lobalu left South Sudan when he was 8 and took refuge in Kenya. He took up running at the age of 15, and trained as part of the Athlete Refugee Team.
