Jeff Hammoud
Jeff Hammoud is a Canadian designer of Lebanese descent. Currently Chief Design Officer at Rivian. A native of Guelph, Ontario, Jeff earned a degree in Transportation Design in Detroit from the College for Creative Studies in 2004 and an MBA from Oakland University in 2016. Contracted by Chrysler, he worked in the company's design studios in Michigan. Hammoud designed the Jeep Grand Cherokee model unveiled in 2011 and the 2015 Chrysler 200. Jeff Hammoud is the Chief Design Officer at Rivian. Jeff is responsible for the look and feel of all Rivian products leading Rivian’s design teams. In May 2017 when Jeff joined Rivian, he was tasked with building the design team, design process, and design studio for Rivian. Rivian Automotive, Inc. is an American electric vehicle manufacturer and automotive technology company founded in 2009. Rivian is building an electric sport utility vehicle (SUV) and pickup truck on a "skateboard" platform that can support future vehicles or be adopted by other companies. An electric delivery van is also being built as part of a partnership with Amazon. Rivian started deliveries of its R1T pickup truck in late 2021. The Rivian R1T is an mid-size electric light duty luxury pickup truck produced by the American company Rivian. The first production R1T rolled off the assembly line in Illinois and was delivered to a customer in September 2021. The official EPA range for the Rivian R1T is 314 miles (505 km). The Rivian R1S is an all-electric, full-size off-road SUV manufactured by Rivian Automotive. Customer deliveries started in 2022. The car took nearly 10 years to develop. Depending on the configuration, it has either two or four electric motors.
