The Jebel Ali Mile, is a horse race for horses aged four and over, run at a distance of 1,600 metres (one mile) on dirt in January at Jebel Ali Racecourse in Dubai. Jebel Ali Racecourse (in Arabic مضمار جبل علي) is a racecourse for flat racing in Jebel Ali, Emirate of Dubai, situated 35 kilometers south-west the city of Dubai. James Doyle (born 22 April 1988 in Cambridge, England) is a flat racing jockey. He is the son of former trainer Jacqueline Doyle. Since 2014, he has been one of the retained riders to Godolphin Racing in the UK, mainly riding horses trained by Charlie Appleby. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum (; born 14 November 1982) has been Crown Prince of Dubai since 2008. He previously served as Deputy Ruler of Dubai from 2006 to 2008. Pat Dobbs (born 1978) is a Group 1 winning Irish jockey. He is stable jockey for Richard Hannon Jr. Career Dobbs was born and brought up into a non-racing family in County Wexford, Ireland. He found racing an enjoyable alternative to school and after entering the apprentices' school in Kildare at 15, he was placed with trainer Dessie Hughes, where he spent three years. Hughes had few flat horses, however, so, at the recommendation of Dessie's son, Richard Hughes, Dobbs got a job with Richard Hannon Sr. in England. Paul Hanagan (born 8 September 1980 in Warrington, Cheshire) is a leading British flat horse racing jockey.
