Jeanette Aw Ee-Ping (born 28 June 1979), better known by her stage name Ou Xuan (), is a Singaporean actress, filmmaker, businesswoman and writer. Aw was named as one of the Seven Princesses of Mediacorp in 2006, after which she achieved wider success with her leading role in acclaimed drama ''The Little Nyonya''. She was prominently a full-time Mediacorp artiste from 2002 to 2017 but continues to film on an ad-hoc basis and was once managed under Hype Records. Jeanette Biedermann (born Jean Biedermann, 22 February 1980) is a German singer, actress, and television personality. Janette Anne Dimech (born 10 October 1951), known professionally as Jeanette, is a Spanish singer and songwriter. She rose to prominence as the lead singer of teenage folk-pop group Pic-Nic, which had a hit in 1968 with her song "Cállate, niña". Jeanette returned to music as a solo artist and experienced commercial success in 1971 with the hit single "Soy rebelde", which redefined her career as a romantic ballad artist and was a worldwide hit amongst Spanish-speaking countries and communities, eventually becoming a generational anthem. Madame Jeanette is a chili pepper cultivar of the species ''Capsicum chinense'', originally from Suriname. The fruits are shaped like small bell peppers. Madame Jeanette chilis are very hot, rated 125,000–325,000 on the Scoville scale. The peppers ripen to reddish-yellow, similar to Scotch Bonnet peppers, but are larger and not symmetrical. The Jeanette State Forest is a state forest located in St. Louis County, Minnesota. The forest is within the limits of the Superior National Forest's Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, and thus falls under the federal jurisdiction and management of the United States Forest Service. USS ''Jeannette'' was a naval exploration vessel which, commanded by George W. De Long, undertook the ''Jeannette'' expedition of 1879–1881 to the Arctic. After being trapped in the ice and drifting for almost two years, the ship and her crew of 33 were released from the ice, then trapped again, crushed and sunk some north of the Siberian coast. The entire crew survived the sinking, but eight died while sailing towards land in a small cutter. The others reached Siberia, but 12 subsequently perished in the Lena Delta, including De Long. The vessel had begun her active career in 1861 as HMS ''Pandora'', a Royal Navy gunboat. After more than a decade's service off the West African coast and in the Mediterranean, ''Pandora'' was retired from duty and sold as a private yacht to a British explorer, Allen Young. The second USS ''Jeannette'' (SP-149), sometimes spelled USS ''Jeanette'', was a motorboat that served in the United States Navy as a patrol vessel from 1917 to 1919. ''Jeannette'' was built as a civilian motorboat in 1905 by B. C. Huffstetler at Miami, Florida. The U.S. Navy acquired her on 14 May 1917 from her owner, B. A. Long of Beaufort, South Carolina, for use as a patrol vessel during World War I. She was commissioned the same day as USS ''Jeannette'' (SP-149). Jeannette Monument
The Jeannette Monument is the largest monument in the United States Naval Academy Cemetery. It memorializes the 1881 loss of while exploring the Arctic ice. ''Jeannette'', with a crew of 33, collapsed and sank under surging ice in the summer of 1881. Her crew, commanded by George W. DeLong, took to the ice dragging three small boats. When open water was found, the boats were used to sail to the Lena Delta of Siberia, 700 miles distant. DeLong commanded a boat of 14 total crew members, Executive Officer Charles W. Chipp's boat's crew was 8 total crew members, and Engineer Officer George W. Melville's boat had 11. Chipp's boat was lost at sea with all hands. Engineer Melville's boat landed in the southern delta, and DeLong's boat came ashore farther to the north on 17 September 1881. ''Inner Song'' is the second studio album by Welsh electronic musician Kelly Lee Owens. It was released through Smalltown Supersound on 28 August 2020. It features a collaboration with Welsh musician John Cale. Background ''Inner Song'' was first announced on 25 February 2020 alongside a release of the album's lead single, "Melt!". Owens wrote and recorded the album after what she considered to be the hardest three years of her life. Originally, the album was scheduled to be released on 1 May 2020, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the release date was pushed back to 28 August 2020. The album's name is borrowed from a 1974 album by Alan Silva. The single "Corner of My Sky" features vocals from John Cale in both English and Welsh. Kelly Lee Owens (born 24 August 1988) is a Welsh electronic musician and producer. She released her self-titled first album in 2017 to critical praise, her follow-up album ''Inner Song'' was released in August 2020. Her third studio album ''LP.8'' was released on 29 April 2022. Early life Owens was born on 24 August 1988 in Rhuddlan, Flintshire on the North Wales coast. Owens recalls writing poetry as a child and that being out in nature (in her mother's fields) gave her the time and the solitude to write. As a teenager, she sang in her school choir and played bass and drums. Owens grew up in a nearby small village where, she describes, "everyone knows everyone else".
