Jamhuriat Hospital
The Afghan Jamhuriat Hospital is a state-owned hospital in Kabul, Afghanistan. It is located in the affluent Shahr-e Naw neighborhood, near the Arg (Kabul), Afghan Presidential Palace and Abdul Rahman Mosque. The hospital is a 10-storey building with the capacity of housing 350 patients. It was constructed in 2004 by engineers from China and laborers from Afghanistan. Pajhwok Afghan News reported in 2011 that the Aga Khan Development Network, Agha Khan Network would be in charge of managing the hospital. Afghan National Police
The Afghan National Police (ANP; ps, د افغانستان ملي پولیس; prs, پلیس ملی افغانستان), is the national police force of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, serving as a single law enforcement agency all across the country. The Afghan Border Police, which has facilities along the nation's border and at international airports, is a part of the force. The Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) is a network of private, non-denominational (de jure) development agencies founded by the Aga Khan that work primarily in the poorest parts of Asia and Africa. Shahr-e Naw ( ps, شهر نو; prs, شهرنو), also spelled Share Naw, Shahre Naow or Shari Naw, is an affluent neighborhood in the northwestern section of Kabul, Afghanistan. It is a downtown commercial area housing most of the bigger buildings such as office centers, shopping centers, education centers, embassies, supermarkets, hotels, banks, hospitals, mosques, and apartments. To its west lies Karte Sakhi, and to its east is the affluent Wazir Akbar Khan neighborhood. Arg (Kabul)
The Arg ( ps, ارګ; ; ) is the presidential palace of Afghanistan, located in Kabul. Since the 2021 abolition of the Afghan presidency by the Taliban, it has served as the meeting place of the Cabinet of Afghanistan. The palace sits on a site in District 2, between Deh Afghanan and the affluent neighbourhood of Wazir Akbar Khan; it has historically been used by many Afghan heads of state, from Abdur Rahman Khan (who laid its foundation) to Ashraf Ghani. Abdul Rahman Mosque
The Abdul Rahman Mosque ( ps, د عبدالرحمان جومات; Dari: مسجد عبدالرحمان), also known as the Grand Mosque of Kabul, is one of the largest mosques in Afghanistan. It is located in one of Kabul's central commercial areas called Deh Afghanan, near the Pashtunistan Square, Zarnegar Park, and across the once popular ''Plaza Hotel''. The building is three stories high, built on of land. One floor of the building is dedicated to women only. The mosque is named after an influential Afghan businessman named Hajji Abdul Rahman who has died but his sons continued the project. Construction of the mosque began in 2001 by Hajji Abdur Rahman but was delayed for several years due to red tape. The mosque has the capacity to serve 10,000 people at a time.
