''Jampack'' was a demo series from Sony under its ''PlayStation Underground'' brand. It was used to advertise and preview upcoming and released PlayStation and PlayStation 2 games through demos and featurettes. It often included imported game demos, behind-the-scenes videos on developers and games, as well as cheat codes and saved games. ''Jampack'' often served as a preview for the ''PlayStation Underground'' online magazine. Machine Hunter is a top-down shooter game developed by Eurocom Entertainment Software, published by MGM Interactive and distributed in Europe by Eidos Interactive. It was developed and released simultaneously in 1997 for Windows 95 and PlayStation console. It has been described as a clone of the 1995 game '' Loaded'', in that it uses an overhead perspective, extensive lighting effects, and over-the-top bloodshed. Plot In a bleak future, a virus is turning robots into killing machines. The carrier of the virus must be tracked down and destroyed if humanity has any chance of survival. Gameplay The game is presented in a top-down overhead perspective, with the option of a fixed or rotating camera. Intelligent Qube
, also known as ''Intelligent Qube'' in North America and ''Kurushi'' in Europe, is a puzzle video game for the PlayStation. In the game, the player controls a character who must run around a platform made of cubes, clearing certain cubes as they approach. Cubes are "cleared" by marking a spot on the stage, waiting for the cube to roll on top of it, and then deactivating the marked spot. The game was well received by critics. The game performed well commercially in Japan and even won the Excellence Award for Interactive Art at the 1997 Japan Media Arts Festival. Game mechanics Overview At the beginning of each level the player is put on a stage that has 23-30 rows. (Though the game has a two-player mode, the two players simply take turns.) ''Cool Boarders 2'' is a snowboarding video game developed by UEP Systems for the PlayStation. The game builds upon its predecessor's features with the addition of trick competitions, computer-controlled competitors, and support for the PlayStation Link Cable, allowing two-player, non-split screen multiplayer. The main aim remains to complete courses in the shortest time (aided this time around by shortcuts), to perform the best-scoring tricks and to rack up huge total scores. ''Colony Wars'' is a space combat simulator video game for the PlayStation developed and released by Psygnosis in 1997. Players complete space combat missions using preselected starfighters equipped with various weapons. The game features multiple paths of missions and outcomes, depending on the player's performance. It was followed by '' Colony Wars: Vengeance'' in 1998, and '' Colony Wars: Red Sun'' in 2000.
