Ioannis Papapetrou
Ioannis Papapetrou ( el, Ιωάννης Παπαπέτρου born March 30, 1994) is a Greek professional basketball player for Partizan of the Serbian KLS, the Adriatic League and the EuroLeague. He is 2.06 m (6 ft 9 in) tall, and he mainly plays at the small forward position. Early career Papapetrou, who is considered to be one of the most talented Greek players that was born in the 1994 age class, along with players like Giannis Antetokounmpo and Lefteris Bochoridis, began his basketball playing career with the youth teams of the Ilysiakos club in Athens, Greece. He played for 5 seasons in Greek junior competitions with Ilysiakos. He then spent his junior and senior years of high school, playing basketball at the Florida Air Academy, in Melbourne, Florida. EuroBasket 2017
EuroBasket 2017 was the 40th edition of the EuroBasket championship that was organized by FIBA Europe and held between 31 August and 17 September 2017. Beginning from 2017, the continental championships take place every four years with a similar system of qualification as for the FIBA Basketball World Cup. Like the previous edition, the tournament was co-hosted by four countries. Games in the group stage were held in Turkey, Finland, Israel and Romania. The knock-out phase was played in Istanbul, Turkey. Slovenia won their first-ever tournament after defeating Serbia 93–85 in the final. The Greek Basketball Cup or Hellenic Basketball Cup (Greek language, Greek: Κύπελλο Ελλάδος καλαθοσφαίρισης ανδρών) is the top-tier level annual pro basketball national cup competition in Greece. Eleftherios "Lefteris" Bochoridis ( Greek: Ελευθέριος "Λευτέρης" Μποχωρίδης; born April 18, 1994) is a Greek professional basketball player for Panathinaikos of the Greek Basket League and the EuroLeague. Born in Thessaloniki, Greece, he is a left-handed, 1.96 m (6 ft 5 in) tall combo guard. Early career As a younger player, Bochoridis was speculated and compared by some as being a possible successor to fellow Greek player Dimitris Diamantidis in the future, but never quite lived up to those great expectations. Giannis Sina Ugo Antetokounmpo (born Adetokunbo; December 6, 1994) is a Greek-Nigerian professional basketball player for the Milwaukee Bucks of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Antetokounmpo's country of origin, in addition to his size, speed, strength, and ball-handling skills have earned him the nickname "Greek Freak". The Greek Basket League MVP is the yearly MVP award that is awarded by the 1st-tier professional basketball league in Greece, the Greek Basket League. 2021 Greek Basketball Super Cup
The 2021 Greek Basketball Super Cup is the 2nd edition of the revived Greek professional domestic basketball super cup competition, under the auspices of the Hellenic Basketball Clubs Association (HEBA), and the 3rd overall.
