Greek Basket League Awards
Greek Basket League awards are the yearly individual awards that are given by the Greek basketball league system, 1st-tier professional basketball league in Greece, the Greek Basket League. Since the Greek Basket League 2014-15, 2014–15 season, the awards are voted on by the fans online, whereas previously they were not. The voting is currently decided by a ratio of 40% by the fans and the media, and 60% by the basketball coach, coaches and the captain (sports), captains of each of the teams of the Greek Basket League. However, the Most Popular Player and Women's Favorite Player awards are decided exclusively by the fan's online voting. Jaka Lakovič
Jaka Lakovič (born 9 July 1978) is a Slovenian professional basketball coach and former player. He currently serves as a head coach for Gran Canaria of the Liga ACB, as well as an assistant coach of the Slovenia national team. Standing at , and weighing 95 kg (210 lbs.), he played at the point guard position. He was an All-EuroLeague Second Team selection in 2005, and he helped lead the senior Slovenia national team to the fourth place finish at 2009 EuroBasket. Ramūnas Šiškauskas (, born September 10, 1978) is a former Lithuanian professional basketball player and basketball coach. At a listed height of 6'6" (1.98 m) tall, he could play at both the shooting guard and small forward positions. His individual accolades as a player include a EuroLeague MVP award, four All-EuroLeague Team selections, as well as an All-EuroBasket Team designation. On May 16, 2014, Šiškauskas was named a EuroLeague Basketball Legend. Sofoklis Schortsanitis (Greek: Σοφοκλής Σχορτσανίτης; born 22 June 1985) is a Greek former professional basketball player and Olympian. An All-EuroLeague First Team selection in 2011, Schortsanitis won the EuroLeague title in 2014 with Maccabi Tel Aviv, and reached the EuroLeague Final in 2010 and 2011, while playing for Olympiacos and Maccabi, respectively. Ryan Eugene Stack (or Ruan Stik, born July 24, 1975) is an American and naturalised Macedonian former professional basketball player. He currently resides in Tennessee where he is a General Manager for Waste Industries. Professional career Stack, a 6 ft 11 in (211 cm) forward/center from the University of South Carolina, was selected by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the second round (48th overall) of the 1998 NBA Draft. Nikolaos "Nikos" Oikonomou (alternate spellings: Ikonomou, Ekonomou) (Greek: Νικόλαος "Νίκος" Οικονόμου; born February 19, 1973) is a retired Greek professional basketball player, and a current professional basketball coach.
