Ramūnas Šiškauskas
Ramūnas Šiškauskas (, born September 10, 1978) is a former Lithuanian professional basketball player and basketball coach. At a listed height of 6'6" (1.98 m) tall, he could play at both the shooting guard and small forward positions. His individual accolades as a player include a EuroLeague MVP award, four All-EuroLeague Team selections, as well as an All-EuroBasket Team designation. On May 16, 2014, Šiškauskas was named a EuroLeague Basketball Legend. During his playing career, Šiškauskas won two EuroLeague titles, one each with Panathinaikos Athens and CSKA Moscow, in 2007 and 2008, and reached two more EuroLeague Finals with CSKA, in 2009 and 2012. He was a member of the senior Lithuanian national team that won the gold medal at the EuroBasket 2003. As a member of Lithuania's national team, he also won the bronze medal at the 2000 Summer Olympics, and the bronze medal at the EuroBasket 2007. Kaišiadorys
Kaišiadorys () is a city in central Lithuania. It is situated between Vilnius and Kaunas. Kaišiadorys is one of six Lithuanian diocese centres. It is home to the Cathedral of the Transfiguration of Christ built in 1932. The Lithuanian Veterinary Institute is located there. Etymology The name of the town was first mentioned in the written sources in 1590. It is believed to originate from the name of a nobleman ''Chašaidaras'', an ethnic Tatar, who was enlisted to the Grand Ducal Lithuanian Army in 1565. EuroLeague Basketball Legend
The EuroLeague Basketball Legend Award is an award that is given by the Euroleague Basketball Company, the organizer of the EuroLeague, which is the top-tier level professional basketball competition in Europe. It is awarded only to a very distinct and small group of the greatest EuroLeague star players, head coaches, and executives who are honored from time to time for their outstanding playing, coaching, and front-office careers in the league. To which, the EuroLeague's organizing body, the Euroleague Basketball Company, sees fit to officially designate them as "EuroLeague Legends". EuroLeague Legends may be officially designated during or after their playing, coaching, or administrative careers. VTB United League Promo-Cup 2008 was the first test run tournament of the VTB United League. The tournament was held during the 2008–09 basketball season on 20–22 December 2008, at the CSKA Universal Sports Hall in Moscow. The tournament included 8 teams from Russia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Ukraine. CSKA Moscow won the tournament by defeating Khimki Moscow Region in the final. VTB United League
VTB United League (russian: Единая Лига ВТБ) is an international professional men's club basketball list of basketball leagues, league that was founded in 2008. It is made up of mostly Russian clubs, along with one each from Belarus and Kazakhstan. Since VTB United League 2013–14, 2013, it is the Russian basketball league system, first tier of Russian professional club basketball. Therefore, the highest placed Russian team in the league is also named list of Russian basketball champions, Russian national champions. The league is sponsored by Russian state-owned VTB Bank. In 2008 PBC CSKA Moscow, CSKA Moscow won VTB United League Promo-Cup, but this competition does not count as official VTB title. VTB United League Final Four MVP
The VTB United League Final Four MVP is an annual award that is given to the best player of the final four of the VTB United League competition. The award has been given out since the league began. Previously, the award was also known as the VTB United League Playoffs MVP. Winners From 2008 until 2012, and since 2018, the league ends with a final four style format. In a weekend, single-elimination games are played in the semi-finals, finals and third place game. The player who played the best during the tournament receives the award. The 2010–11 Russian Professional Basketball League (PBL) was the first season of the Russian Professional League, and the 20th overall of the Russian Professional Championship. CSKA Moscow won the title, by beating Kimki Moscow Region 3–1 in the league's playoff Finals.
