Inside Maximum Security
''Inside Maximum Security'' is a Singaporean documentary series produced by CNA, which focuses on the lives of five inmates at B1 institution, the maximum-security section of Singapore's Changi Prison. The series, which consists of four episodes, aired between 16 January and 6 February 2022. Synopsis ''Inside Maximum Security'' focuses on B1 institution, the maximum-security section of Changi Prison, where it imprisons some of Singapores most hardened criminals and those who committed violent crimes or serving long sentences. The series contains the interviews of five selected inmates, whose daily lives behind bars were also filmed and shown on camera. Several prison officers and some of the inmates' family members and friends were also featured in the interviews filed for the documentary series, and there were also explanation of prison rules and prison life made by the officers. Changi Prison
Changi Prison Complex, often known simply as Changi Prison, is a prison in Changi in the eastern part of Singapore. History First prison Before Changi Prison was constructed, the only penal facility in Singapore was at Pearl's Hill, beside the barracks of Sepoy Lines, and was known as the Singapore Prison. By the 1930s, the Singapore Prison was overcrowded and deemed dangerous. The Singapore Prison had a capacity of 1,080. Caning In Singapore
Caning is a widely used form of corporal punishment in Singapore. It can be divided into several contexts: judicial, prison, reformatory, military, school, and domestic. These practices of caning as punishment were introduced during the period of British colonial rule in Singapore. Similar forms of corporal punishment are also used in some other former British colonies, including two of Singapore's neighbouring countries, Malaysia and Brunei. Of these, judicial caning is the most severe. It is applicable to only male convicts under the age of 50 for a wide range of offences under the Criminal Procedure Code, up to a maximum of 24 strokes per trial. The Istana

meWATCH is a Singaporean digital video on demand service brand owned by Mediacorp. It was launched on 1 February 2013 as an over-the-top media service and an entertainment and lifestyle website Toggle. On 1 April 2015, xinmsn, an internet portal which is a joint venture between MediaCorp and Microsoft, was closed down and merged with Toggle. On 30 January 2020, Toggle was renamed meWATCH. The Singapore Prison Service (SPS) is a government agency of the Government of Singapore under the purview of the Ministry of Home Affairs.
