Discovery Asia
Discovery Asia (formerly known as Discovery HD and Discovery HD World) is a Southeast Asian pay television channel that features Asia-related documentaries and original Asian programming. It is operated by Warner Bros. Discovery through its Asia-Pacific division. History The channel was launched in 2005 as Discovery HD, the first high-definition channel in Asia. It was first available in South Korea in February, and in Japan in December. On April 1, 2010, Discovery HD was rebranded to Discovery HD World. In 2008, Discovery Channel HD was launched in Japan. Discovery Science (Asian TV Channel)
Discovery Science is a Southeast Asia pay television channel (excluding Malaysia, formerly including Malaysia) owned by Discovery Asia-Pacific. The channel replaced Discovery Sci-Trek. Discovery Science rebranded along with Travel Channel in Southeast Asia from 1 September 2021. Starting 15 September 2021, Astro will move the channel number of Discovery Science from 554 to 557. It is the first Learning channels to ceased broadcasting on Astro on 1 October 2021 due to a decision made following review of the channel performance and replaced by BBC Earth on 15 September 2021. Discovery Science will launch in Indonesia, on TransVision from 1 October 2021. A separate feed is run for India and other South Asian countries with timeshifted schedule and old 2011 branding. Discovery Atlas
''Discovery Atlas'' is a documentary television series on the Discovery Channel and Discovery HD Theater which focuses on the cultural, sociological, and natural aspects of various countries by exploring their different peoples, traditions, and lands. The documentary follows the lives and individual struggles of locals, while taking in-depth looks at the countries' history and culture. Eight episodes have been broadcast so far on the Discovery Channel: the first episode, ''Discovery Atlas: China Revealed'' aired October 1, 2006, and was followed by ''Discovery Atlas: Italy Revealed'', ''Brazil Revealed'', and ''Australia Revealed''. The most recent episodes (from 2008) have been focused on France, Japan, Egypt and Russia.
