The fifth season of Indonesian Idol began on April 4, 2008 and finished on August 2, 2008. Amelia Natasha was replaced by Dewi Sandra as the co-host with Daniel Mananta. Daniel Mananta
Daniel Mananta (born in Jakarta, Indonesia on August 14, 1981) is an Indonesian actor, presenter and television host of mixed Chinese and Javanese descent --sometimes known as VJ Daniel Mananta. He is an Indonesian entertainer whose name emerged after winning the 2003 MTV Indonesia VJ Hunt. He has now established himself as an entertainer as well as a young entrepreneur. Early life Daniel led an amiable childhood in Jakarta, Indonesia. He attended Tarakanita IV in Pluit, North Jakarta, from kindergarten to the end of junior high school. Dewi Sandra Killick or better known as Dewi Sandra (born 3 April 1980) is a Brazilian-born Indonesian singer, actress, dancer and model of mixed English and Betawi people, Betawi descent. Biography Sandra was born in Brazil on 3 April 1980. She is of Indo people, mixed heritage; her mother, Hajjah Prihartini, was Betawi people, Betawi and her father, John George Killick, was a British national. ''Indonesian Idol'' is a reality television singing competition created by Simon Fuller and produced by RCTI Production Team and FremantleMedia Asia, which began airing on RCTI in March 2004 and became one of the most popular shows in the history of Indonesian television.
