Ilya Evgenievich Perekopsky (russian: Илья Евгеньевич Перекопский; born 18 November 1983) is a Russian-born entrepreneur, manager, and investor. Vice President of the VKontakte network (2006-2014), Vice President of Telegram since 2018. Founder of Blackmoon Financial Group and the Blackmoon Crypto startup. Early life and education Ilya Perekopsky was born on November 18, 1983 in Cherepovets. He finished a local school #25. In 2001 Ilya moved to St. Petersburg. He graduated from Saint Petersburg State University in 2006, where he majored in English language and translation at the Department of Philology. He was in the same year as Pavel Durov, together with whom he developed the first-ever in Russia social network VKontakte. During their studies, Ilya and Pavel set up and launched an online university forum spbgu.ru. Cherepovets
Cherepovets ( rus, Череповец, p=tɕɪrʲɪpɐˈvʲɛts) is a city in Vologda Oblast, Russia, located in the west of the oblast on the banks of the Sheksna River (a tributary of the Volga River) and on the shores of the Rybinsk Reservoir. As of the 2010 Census, its population was 312,310, making it the most populous city in the oblast. Etymology The origin of the word "Cherepovets" is a subject of much debate among the local historians. According to one version, the city supposedly received its name from the word "skull" (russian: череп, ''cherep''). In antiquity, a pagan sanctuary was there in honor of the god Veles on the hill at the confluence of the Sheksna and Yagorba Rivers. The top of the hill was called the "skull." Golden Bridge
The Golden Bridge connects Ankleshwar to Bharuch in the Gujarat state of western India. It was built in 1881 by the British, who needed a bridge across the Narmada River to create better access to trade and administration officials in Bombay (now called Mumbai). The bridge is also called the Narmada Bridge. Construction The British started construction on the iron bridge on 7 December 1877. The bridge was contracted by the Bombay, Baroda, and Central India Railway and was designed by Sir John Hawkshaw. The bridge was completed on 16 May 1881 at a cost of Rs 45.65 lakhs. Originally named the Narmada Bridge, it would come to be known as the Golden Bridge on account of the heavy expenditure incurred during construction due to damage from heavy water flow. After independence, it became part of the national highway. However, the flow of heavy traffic would be reduced after a new bridge on Narmada was built. The length of the Golden Bridge is 1412 m.
