Hüseyin Alkan (born April 1, 1988, in Küçükçekmece, Istanbul Province, Turkey) is a Turkish national goalball player of class B1 and Paralympian. He lost his eyesight at the age of 19 as a result of workplace accident. Küçükçekmece (; meaning “small-drawer”, from much earlier ''Rhagion'' and ''Küçükçökmece as “little breakdown''" or “''little depression''”, in more ancient times just as Bathonea), is a suburb and district of Istanbul, Turkey, 23 kilometers west of the city centre and laying next to Lake Küçükçekmece.
