Håvard Bentdal Ingvaldsen
Håvard Bentdal Ingvaldsen (born 21 September 2002) is a Norwegian track and field athlete. He has been the national champion of Norway over 200m and 400m. In 2023, he became the European U23 champion over 400 metres and took the Norwegian national 400m record from Karsten Warholm. Career At the 2021 European Athletics U20 Championships in Tallinn, he ran a new personal best time of 46.70 seconds in the final of the 400 metres to win a bronze medal. Later that summer, still aged 18 years-old, he recorded a national U20 record time of 45.95s as he won the 400m Norwegian Championships. He also ran the 400 meters during the 2022 European Athletics Championships in August 2022, in Munich but overall his 2022 season was hampered by injuries. 2023 On 15 June 2023, he set a new personal best time of 44.86s for the 400m at the Diamond League event in Oslo. The European Athletics U20 Championships (formerly named the European Athletics Junior Championships up to 2015) are the European championships for athletes who are under-20 athletes, which is the age range recognised by World Athletics as junior athletes. 2023 World Athletics Championships – Men's 400 Metres
The men's 400 metres at the 2023 World Athletics Championships was held at the National Athletics Centre in Budapest, Hungary from 20 to 24 August 2023. Summary The defending champion, Michael Normanm, was unable to return due to injury, opening up the field. In the semi-finals, Antonio Watson ran his personal best of 44.13 to lead the field and pulling veteran Vernon Norwood to his personal best of 44.26 in the first semi. Diamond League
The Diamond League is an annual series of elite track and field athletic competitions comprising fourteen of the best invitational athletics meetings. The series sits in the top tier of the World Athletics (formerly known as the IAAF) one-day meeting competitions. The inaugural season was in 2010. It was designed to replace the IAAF Golden League, which had been held annually since 1998.
