Husain Ali
Husain Ali (born 31 December 1981) is a Bahraini retired football player known as Husain Pelé. He last played for Al-Shabab of Bahrain and was a former player for the Bahrain national team. He was top goalscorer in the Bahrain Premier League in 1998(16) & 2003(18). International career Husain Ali made his international debut as a 16-year-old on 3 October 1998 against Sudan national team and has since earned 101 appearances, thus entering FIFA's century club. He was Bahrain's all-time top scorer with 33 goals, before being surpassed by Ismail Abdul-Latif. Bishkek

Listed below are the dates and results for the 2006 FIFA World Cup qualification rounds for Asia. 44 Asian teams are affiliated with FIFA, but Cambodia, Philippines, Bhutan and Brunei decided not to take part, and Myanmar was banned from the competition (for refusing to play a qualifier in Iran during 2002 qualifying), so a total of 39 teams took part, competing for 4.5 places in the World Cup. Format The qualification was composed of three rounds. Only the 14 last ranked teams according to FIFA took part in the Preliminary Round, where they were paired 2-by-2 and played home-and-away knock-out matches. 2004 AFC Asian Cup Qualification
The qualification process for the 2004 AFC Asian Cup football competition began in March 2003. Out of the 45 AFC members, only Cambodia and the Philippines failed to enter for the tournament. Both China, the hosts and Japan, the reigning champions automatically qualified for the finals. The lowest ranked 20 teams were placed in 6 preliminary qualifying groups of 3 and one group of 2, with the group winners joining the remaining 21 teams in 7 groups of 4. The top two of each of these groups qualified for the finals in China.
