Hung Fuk Estate
Hung Fuk Estate () is a public housing estate in Hung Shui Kiu, New Territories, Hong Kong. It comprises nine blocks with a total of 4,905 flats. It was completed in 2015 and is the first public estate in Hung Shui Kiu, which is planned to undergo large-scale development as a new town. History The estate is one of the first large developments in Hung Shui Kiu, which the Hong Kong Government plans to develop into a new town. The Hsin Chong construction company built the first and second phases, comprising four domestic blocks, the single-storey commercial centre, and a three-storey car park. The third phase was built by Yau Lee Group between January 2013 and April 2015. It comprises five residential blocks, a kindergarten, an elderly centre, and an integrated children and youth centre. West Rail Line
The West Rail line () was a rapid transit line that formed part of the Mass Transit Railway (MTR) system in Hong Kong until 27 June 2021. Coloured magenta on the MTR map, the line ran from Tuen Mun to Hung Hom, with a total length of , in 37 minutes. The railway connected the urban area of Kowloon and the new towns of Yuen Long, Tin Shui Wai and Tuen Mun in the northwestern New Territories. Population censuses / by-censuses in Hong Kong are conducted by the Census and Statistics Department (C&SD) of the Hong Kong SAR Government. The aim is to provide up-to-date benchmark statistics on the demographic and socio-economic characteristics of the population and on its geographical distribution. Since 1961, a population census has been conducted in Hong Kong every 10 years and a by-census in the middle of the intercensal period. The Light Rail, also known as the Light Rail Transit (LRT), officially the North-West Railway, is a light rail system in Hong Kong, serving the northwestern New Territories, within Tuen Mun District and Yuen Long District. The Census and Statistics Department (C&SD; ) is the provider of major social and economic official statistics in Hong Kong. It is also responsible for conducting Population Census and By-census in Hong Kong since 1971. Its head office is in the Wanchai Tower in Wan Chai.
