Hispakart GT
Hispakart was a Spanish kart and racing car constructor based in Madrid, Spain. The company was founded in 1961 by Ramon Lopez Villalba. History Ramon Lopez achieved degrees in mechanics while doing military service at Aeródromo Militar de León in 1952. After working as an airplane mechanic at Iberia (airline), Iberia and Aviaco Lopez went to work in his fathers garage in Madrid. In 1958 Lopez met Demetrio del Val, a Spanish motorcyclist who went to the U.S. to race Kart racing, karts. Lopez built his first kart with a Montesa Honda, Montesa engine and Vespa tyres. Lopez entered Portuguese driver Serafín Martins in a kart race at Buen Retiro Park on November 1, 1960. Martins won the race in the Lopez built 'Plantilla'. Hispakart was founded in 1961. Demetrio del Val ordered seven karts. The following year a kart team was created: Los Diablos Rojos (The Red Devils). Antoine Emile "Toine" Hezemans (born 15 April 1943, in Eindhoven) is a Dutch former touring and prototype racing car driver in 1960s and 1970s. A grand tourer (GT) is a type of car that is designed for high speed and long-distance driving, due to a combination of performance and luxury attributes. Formula 1430
The Formula 1430 was founded in 1971 as the Formula Nacional. It was a junior formula racing series based in Spain. History Spanish car manufacturer SEAT launched the Formula Nacional in 1971. In the same era the Formula Ford (Great Britain), Formula Blue (France), Formula Vee (Germany) and Formula 850 (Italy) were launched. Selex Competition
Selex Competition was a Spanish constructor of racing cars under various brands. The company currently produces dampers and shocks. History 1960s Miquel Molons Ximenos built up experience in building all types of dampers in the nineteen fifties. Molons built his first car in 1958. When karting made its way to Europe, Molons embraced the new sport. A kart racing team was founded. The team raced in various Catalan championships until its dissolution in 1965. Selex was founded by Miquel in 1960 as an engineering workshop. In 1965 the first car was constructed. The Selex ST 1 was a prototype built according to Spanish Formula 4 regulations of that time.
