Hashtgerd ( fa, هشتگرد; also known as Ashjird, Hashtjerd, and Hashtjird) is a city in and the capital of Savojbolagh County, Alborz Province, Iran. Hashtgerd is located west of Tehran. It is the capital of Savojbolagh County. Hashtgerd includes several nearby archeological mounds, known collectively as "Ozbaki." These sites, which have been actively excavated for several decades, include several mounds or Tepes, including Doshan TapehOzbakiincludes remains of ancient settlements dating back to the 7th millennium BC through 1400 BC. Iran Daylight Time
Iran Standard Time (IRST) or Iran Time (IT) is the time zone used in Iran. Iran uses a UTC offset UTC+03:30. IRST is defined by the 52.5 degrees east meridian, the same meridian which defines the Iranian calendar and is the official meridian of Iran. Between 2005 and 2008, by decree of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Iran did not observe daylight saving time (DST) (called ''Iran Daylight Time'' or ''IRDT''). It was reintroduced from 21 March 2008. On 21 September 2022, Iran abolished DST and now observes standard time year-round. Medians
The Medes ( Old Persian: ; Akkadian: , ; Ancient Greek: ; Latin: ) were an ancient Iranian people who spoke the Median language and who inhabited an area known as Media between western and northern Iran.
