Harry Bogomoloff
Harry "Bogo" Bogomoloff (born June 10, 1944, in Helsinki, Finland) is a Finnish politician, sports influencer and an ice hockey referee. He has a MSc degree in political sciences. Bogomoloff has been a member of the City Council of Helsinki since 1985. For two years, he served as the chairman of the municipal board and for eight years as the chairman of the council group of the National Coalition Party. He has served as the first vice chairman of the council since 2005. During his lifetime, Bogomoloff has had multiple roles related to ice hockey. He has served in the Finnish Ice Hockey Association since 1990 and been its vice chairman since 1997. In addition he was the chief executive officer of the Ice Hockey Foundation from 1974 until 2013 and has had roles in the International Ice Hockey Federation. Finnish Ice Hockey Association
The Finnish Ice Hockey Association ( fi, Suomen Jääkiekkoliitto, sv, Finlands Ishockeyförbund) is the governing body of ice hockey in Finland. In 1927, the Finnish Skating Association introduced ice hockey as part of its program and, through that organization, Finland joined the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) in 1928. The Finnish Ice Hockey Association was formed on 20 January 1929 and featured seventeen clubs. International Ice Hockey Federation
The International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF; french: Fédération internationale de hockey sur glace; german: Internationale Eishockey-Föderation) is a worldwide governing body for ice hockey. It is based in Zurich, Switzerland, and has 83 member countries. The IIHF maintains the IIHF World Ranking based on international ice hockey tournaments. Rules of play for IIHF events differ from hockey in North America and the rules of the National Hockey League (NHL). The Ice Hockey World Championships are an annual international men's ice hockey tournament organized by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). First officially held at the 1920 Summer Olympics, it is the sport's highest profile annual international tournament. The IIHF was created in 1908 while the European Championships, the precursor to the World Championships, were first held in 1910. Finnish Hockey Hall Of Fame
The Finnish Hockey Hall of Fame is housed in and administered by the ('Finnish Ice Hockey Museum'), a part of the Vapriikki Museum Centre, in Tampere, Finland.
