Harestua Station (1901–2012)
Harestua Station ( no, Harestua stasjon) is located on the Gjøvik Line at Harestua in Norway. The station was opened as Harestuen in 1901 as a stop for passengers and freight one years ahead of the opening of the Gjøvik Line in 1902. In 1971, the station became fully automatized and remote controlled. There is no ticket machine at the station. Harestua
Harestua is a town in Lunner kommune, Viken county, Norway. It has 2318 inhabitants. Harestua is located 46 kilometeres north of Oslo, and functions as a commuter town to the capital. It is served by Harestua Station on the Gjøvik Line. Harestua maintains 6 neighbourhoods; Gamlefeltet, Nyfeltet, Vestbygda, Bjørgeseter, Haneknemoen, Haganskogen and Stryken. Harestua has a small town centre with services such as a petrol station, grocery stores and fast food outlets. Harestua also has a combined elementary- and junior high school. Harestua Station ( no, Harestua holdeplass) is a railway station on the Gjøvik Line at Harestua in Lunner, Norway. Situated at from Oslo Central Station (Oslo S), it consists of a side platform along a section of single track. It is served by line L1 of the Oslo Commuter Rail and regional trains on line R30, both operated by Vy Gjøvikbanen, each operating every two hours. The station opened about to the north on 3 June 1984 and was originally named Furumo. In 2012 work started on building a new station, which would replace both the old Furumo Station and the old Harestua Station. Lunner
Lunner is a municipality in Viken county, Norway. It is part of the traditional region of Hadeland. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Roa. Lunner was established when it was separated from the municipality of Jevnaker on 1 January 1898. From 1 January 2020 the municipality belongs to Viken county, it was Oppland before that. NMT has its operating base at Hønefoss Station in Ringerike, Norway. The society was founded on 22 May 1969, and is based at Bryn Station in Oslo, but with local groups all over the country. It publishes the magazine ''På Sporet'' four times a year, as well as publishing numerous books. The club also operates two heritage railways, the Old Voss Line in Bergen, and the Krøder Line. Most of the work is done by volunteers. The Norwegian Railway Club runs Norwegian Heritage Trains or NMT (''Norsk Museumstog''). All the members of NMT are volunteers and their classic train activities are under government supervision.
