Griffin Yow
Griffin McDorman Yow (born September 25, 2002) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a winger in the Belgian Pro League with Westerlo. Club career D.C. United Yow joined the D.C. United academy in 2017, and found himself engaging in training sessions with the first team at the age of 15. By 2019, Yow had withdrawn from high school and enrolled in online programs, electing to forego a collegiate soccer career in favor of professional opportunities in the sport. Shortly thereafter, Yow made his professional debut with the club's USL Championship affiliate Loudoun United, and the following week scored the first goal in club history against Memphis 901 FC. On March 19, 2019, he became the 12th homegrown player to be signed with D.C. United. Yow made his professional debut with D.C. The 2022 Loudoun United FC season was Loudoun United FC's fourth season of existence, their fourth in the second-division of American soccer, and their fourth in the USL Championship. The 2022 marked an improvement in United's overall record, winning twice as many matches as last season. Despite this, the club still finished with a losing record, and failed to qualify for the playoffs for their fourth consecutive season. The 2019 Loudoun United FC season is Loudoun United FC's first season of existence, their first in the second-division of American soccer, and their 1st in the USL Championship. It is the first season since 2011 D.C. United will be fielding a reserve team. Background On July 18, 2018, the club was announced by USL and D.C. United as were the team's name, colors and crest.
