GreenPAC is a Canadian non-profit environmental organization, founded in 2014. Its goal is to help recruit, elect, and support environmental leadership in Canadian politics, across the political spectrum. Thus far, GreenPAC has run endorsement campaigns in the Canadian federal elections of 2015, 2019, and 2021, and provincial elections including those of Manitoba in 2016, British Columbia in 2017, and Ontario in 2018 and 2022. 2015 federal election campaign GreenPAC's first campaign was during the 2015 Canadian federal election, in which they endorsed 18 MP candidates from four national parties who were deemed to have strong environmental track records by a panel of Canadian environmental experts. Drummond is a federal electoral district in Quebec, Canada, that has been represented in the House of Commons of Canada since 1968. It was created in 1966 from Drummond—Arthabaska, Nicolet—Yamaska and Richmond—Wolfe. François Choquette
François Choquette (born January 3, 1974) is a Canadian politician, who was elected to the House of Commons of Canada in the 2011 election and re-elected in 2015. He served in the 41st and 42nd Canadian Parliaments before losing his seat in 2019. He represented the electoral district of Drummond as a member of the New Democratic Party. Prior to being elected, Choquette was a teacher. Choquette has a bachelor's degree in secondary education in French and history and a master's degree in literature. Choquette also ran unsuccessfully in the 2006 federal election, and attempted a non-consecutive comeback in the 2021 election, in Drummond. Wellington—Halton Hills is a federal electoral district in Ontario, Canada, that has been represented in the House of Commons of Canada since 2004. The Member of Parliament for Wellington—Halton Hills is Michael Chong of the Conservative Party of Canada. The riding was created in 2003 from parts of Dufferin—Peel—Wellington—Grey, Guelph—Wellington, Halton and Waterloo—Wellington ridings. The Conservative Party of Canada (french: Parti conservateur du Canada), colloquially known as the Tories, is a federal political party in Canada. Michael David Chong (born November 22, 1971) is a Canadian politician who has represented the Ontario riding of Wellington—Halton Hills in the House of Commons since 2004. A member of the Conservative Party, he served in the cabinet of Prime Minister Stephen Harper as Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister of Sport, as well as the President of the Queen's Privy Council for Canada from February 6, 2006 to November 27, 2006. Jim Carr
James Gordon Carr (October 11, 1951 – December 12, 2022) was a Canadian politician, cabinet minister, journalist, and professional oboist. A member of the Liberal Party, he served as the member of Parliament for Winnipeg South Centre from 2015 until his death on December 12, 2022. Carr died days after his Private Members Bill, Bill C-235, ''An Act respecting the building of a green economy in the Prairies,'' passed the House and went to the Senate.
