Goodnight, Sunrise
Goodnight Sunrise (formerly Goodnight, Sunrise) is a Canadian alternative rock band formed in Toronto, Ontario, Canada in 2011. The band is characterized by their energetic live show, dual male-female lead vocals, and eclectic musical influences. History Goodnight, Sunrise was formed in 2011 by David Kochberg and Vanessa Vakharia who had both played in Toronto band The Big Deal. Along with friend and former Glueleg bassist Andrew "Chowder" Charters, they recorded their first EP ''Fragments'' as a three piece. The addition of drummer Paul Weaver in February 2012 completed the four member group, leading into festival performances at the 2012 Canadian Music Week and North by Northeast,. Collectively their early writing was influenced by diverse bands such as Florence + The Machine, Muse, Metric, U2, and Foo Fighters, while the dual lead vocals of Vakharia and Kochberg were reminiscent of bands like Blink-182, Of Monsters and Men, and July Talk. Create/Destroy/Create
''Create/Destroy/Create'' is the debut studio album by Canadian indie-rock band Goodnight, Sunrise. It is a loose concept album divided into three movements which deal with the cyclical nature of people's lives. The album can be played in an infinite repeated loop, because it begins and ends with a ticking clock. The album artwork features an intricate ambigram design designed by Polish artist Daniel Dostal. The album had success on Canadian campus radio, charting with !earshot on a number of stations. Lucan Biddulph is an incorporated township in southwestern Ontario, Canada. It was formed on January 1, 1999, by amalgamating the Village of Lucan with Biddulph Township.
