The Georgian Cup (, ''Sakartvelos tasi'') is the main cup competition in Georgia (country), Georgian football (soccer), football. The competition is a knockout (single elimination) tournament. 2022 Georgian Cup
The 2022 Georgian Cup was a single knock-out football tournament, organized by Georgian Football Federation. The winner qualified for the first round of the 2023-24 UEFA Europa Conference League season. FC Saburtalo Tbilisi, Saburtalo Tbilisi were the holders, having beaten FC Samgurali Tskhaltubo, Samgurali in the 2021 Georgian Cup, 2021 Cup final. They were eliminated by FC Lokomotive Tbilisi, Lokomotive Tbilisi II in the semifinals. FC Torpedo Kutaisi, Torpedo Kutaisi beat FC Lokomotive Tbilisi, Lokomotive's reserve team in the final to win the fifth Georgian Cup final and first since 2018 Georgian Cup, 2018. Calendar Preliminary round The draw for the initial two rounds was held on 18 April. It granted a Bye (sports), bye for the third round to the winner of ''Egrisi – Tskhumi'' tie. FC Dinamo Batumi
FC Dinamo Batumi is a Georgian football club based in Batumi, Adjara, and current vice-champion of Erovnuli Liga, the top division of Georgian football system. The club has won the league (2021), the Georgian Cup ( 1997-98) and Super Cup (1997-98, 2022). They have also earned silver medals of the league five times. In 1990 they changed the name to ''FC Batumi'' only to reverse the decision in 1994. Dinamo plays their home matches at Batumi Stadium. History Early period Prior to the formation of this club, there were some other teams existing in the city. In 1923 newly established two clubs called ''Mezgvauri'' (The Sailor) and ''Tsiteli Raindi'' (The Red Knight) merged and became Dinamo Batumi. Boris Paichadze Dinamo Arena ( ''Boris P’aich’adzis erovnuli st’adioni''), formerly known as Boris Paichadze National Stadium, is a stadium in Tbilisi, Georgia, and the home stadium of Dinamo Tbilisi, Georgia national rugby union team and Georgia national football team. With a capacity of 54,139, the stadium is the largest in Georgia. FC Tskhumi Sukhumi
FC Tskhumi Sokhumi is a Georgian association football club, currently playing in Regionuli Liga East, the fifth tier of the Georgian league system. The club was based in Sokhumi in 1990–1993 and following the War in Abkhazia (1992–1993) was re-founded by an internally displaced person from Abkhazia in Tbilisi. History In 1990, most Georgian clubs including FC Dinamo Tbilisi withdrew from the Soviet League system and established the Georgian national league as the Umaglesi Liga. The club's predecessor, FC Dinamo Sokhumi, refused to join it and continued to play in the Soviet First League for the next two seasons. Therefore, Tskhumi was formed to represent Sokhumi in Umaglesi Liga. Star players Gocha Gogrichiani and Giorgi Chikhradze joined from Dinamo. The first president was Guram Gabiskiria.
